Great location close to causeway. Older facility with beachfront. 2 bedroom unit was large and comfortable with a large balcony. Maintenance seemed to be a low priority, noted numerous occupied units with screens blown out. Our unit cleanliness had a bit to be desired, mold in showers and bathtub. Floors very dirty, walked barefoot while unpacking and bottom of my feet were filthy. Ended up mopping all the floors to clean it somewhat. Master bath light switch was defective, patio light switch cover open to environment with electricity present. Only one elevator for facility. Pool area has good view of parking lot. No-see-um bar at pool is a warning of what's coming at dusk.
Turtle Reef Club surpassed the high expectations we had due to other members' ratings. The building and grounds were well maintained giving a excellent first impression. Our unit was clean, comfortable, and well equipped. Personally we are NOT fans for sofa-beds finding them generally not comfortable, the sofa-bed in our unit was very comfortable. (We did not use it for additional bedding, so that issue is not rated.) ||||The first four days were overcast with many intermittent showers. The surf was high. Through all of that we were able to enjoy the beach from our spacious balcony. It was sitting on the beach without having to deal with sand.I'm sure families with children found the weather challenging, but it was not issue to us. That said, the size of these units would have helped families to avoid cabin fever. ||||The staff was friendly and helpful including maintenance and cleaning individuals. One gal sitting behind the desk in the front lobby was quick witted. After picking up some needed items the young lady said, "Let me know if there is anything else your need." My response, "We could use help with the dirty dishes." Her reply, "I can help with that," and she handed an additional dish washer packet. We both chuckled.
We would have given this place four stars, but . . . BEDBUGS. We finished the place bitten to hell and gone. The location is great, with lovely beaches right by the place and some good restaurants within walking distance. The condos are spacious. We stayed in a two-bedroom unit with a kitchen and full balcony to ourselves that faced the ocean. The interior does not smack of modern, up-to-date appliances and fittings, but the location and size are really great. The service employees at the desk were very nice. We didn't stay long enough to rank housecleaning. Did I mention BEDBUGS? The kitchen needs to have more basics. We spent more money than we would inland on some basics to use the kitchen.
Turtle Reef Club is a fairly small (51 units) condo/hotel right on the Atlantic beach of Hutchinson Island in Florida. Every unit is a fully furnished 2 or 3 bedroom condo with kitchen and a spectacular ocean view. The resort has a beach access ramp (without stairs), a beach service renting lounge chairs and umbrellas, a fresh water swimming pool, tennis courts, a fitness center, and laundry machines on every floor. The staff is helpful and friendly, the grounds and facilities are very clean and well maintained. It is such a joy to stay here we come twice a year, spring and fall, to enjoy the beach, the attractions nearby, a host of fine restaurants, and the general relaxing atmosphere.
Part of my review has to be about the spectacular views this rainy windy week that I was able to see from most every room. But the five stars go to this manger and her professional team! I have traveled to this location for yrs. Before she took over, it was ready to have the doors shut, so you’ll see bad reviews, even from me. But with new management , new furnishings, new everything, including the blenders and crockpots in the kitchen, they have managed to take an older building and make it really nice. The pictures are old and outdated. It’s spacious and cleaner than most anything else you’ll find on the beach. I come often because Jensen and Turtle reef are quiet and peaceful. But I wouldn’t keep coming back, as a non owner, if i didn’t think they were the best on the beach. Beach service is provided for a fee, just like every place on the beach. It’s run by aa separate company. There isn’t a huge beach anymore due to the storms and the waves can be unpredictable. But the waters are warm and shallow in the summer. I don’t use the pool or activities when I travel, but they have both. Restaurants are nearby, but thankfully, not on premises.
Positive: Location was perfect. The apartment was large with three TV's. Beach is beautiful. Negative: Internet was weak or non existent. The staff immediately assisted with fixing the problem but signal was weak in our unit. Mobile (cell) reception was very good. With that said I would still re-book this trip.
Dated resort on the beach. Reception staff were unfriendly and couldn’t be bothered when asked for information. Pool was in car park, not attractive for relaxing. Housekeeping staff were very helpful and did wonderful job of keeping place clean. Second bedroom not really well set up for adult couple. No PowerPoints in main bedroom. Wall hairdryer was a joke. Overall would not go back here
Family vacation during week of Thanksgiving. Great location along A1A. Resort sits right on the beach, private access to the beach, great views from the unit. It's an older resort that seems to be updating. New countertops, newer furniture in living room, updates to bathrooms and kitchen. Nice, quiet area away from crowds.

(We did not stay at the resort but did stop in to the gift shop, therefore I am unable to rate the rooms). This review is specifically in reference to Kathleen, the phenomenal woman who works in the gift shop. On a recent visit to the gift shop at I
I recently joined 9rounds and could not be happier. I was intimidated at first because it was something new and different but the staff do a great job at walking you through each round if you need it and making you feel welcome. They always seem happ
This is a wonderful park with so much to offer. There really is something for everyone, whether you are looking to fish from the pier, have a picnic-style party under the pavilions, or just enjoy the biodiversity while taking a jog or a stroll. Ther
Quiet beach. Good sandbar structure creates great fishing pockets. I've caught whiting here for great fish tacos. Never been crowded on my visits. Lots of space away from condo buildings, allowing for maximum sunshine in the afternoons/evenings a
Very wet on the day we went after a week of rain so we got turned around but there were so many wildflowers and distant views over the Savannah. Worth the visit.
I love this bar. Itâs my kind of place. Just walking through the front door puts a big smile on my face. They have the best variety of craft beers and excellent service.
First time here for all 5 of us and it was an appetizer kind of night. Take what you want, lots of fun. Various appetizers filled the table. Served by multiple employees, all the food arrived quickly, and was piping hot. The food and wait staff were
Very clean beach, lifeguard on duty. Bathroom and wash spout available. Parking as well. Not too busy and not too slow. They had just enough people at the beach. Enjoyed our time. Def would go back
I love the place itself. The only thing is the city needs to not allow the loud mufflers from the teens, plus their drag racing on a 15 mile an hour road during the weekend, plus noise pollution control. I am grateful it is public 24 hour. I just th
Food was excellent as was the service. The outdoor dining experience was great. I'd recommend to anyone that wants a fun afternoon dinner out. Also don't forget about happy hour 3-6 where there's a great selection of dishes at half off!
