• Visited on Friday morning in late December. Most kids still in school so it wasn’t busy at all.
• We stopped at turtle mound before park visitor center, and views were great and worth the stop.
• There were a hand full of parallel parking spots on side of the road.
My husband and I went for a walk to this magnificent place, and it was so impressive to be in contact with a lot of butterflies happily flying around us. The peaceful of this place is a therapy for your mind and heart. It's completely worth it. The weather that day was perfect. Fresh and beautiful!
$20 to get in for a 7 day pass. Beautiful beach and beautiful natural trails. There’s also fishing.
What a beautiful place!! Views were gorgeous and it was very peaceful. We saw several turtles crossing the roads. Would recommend going with your family and stopping also at the 1st beach parking area to enjoy the beach, shells and waves. :) However, if you have kids you may not want to go any farther down the road because the last few beach parking areas are also a nude beach.
Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful sights!!! Absolutely stunning, the board walk also look really cool. I would definitely go here again!! Not a hard hike at all, I wouldn’t even consider it a hike. Not a far walk at all. Totally worth it!!! I highly recommend!!!
If you're a local get the $40 annual pass, totally worth it. And it is also with the $20 7 day pass if you're a visitor from out of town. Amazing place to fish and spend the day. There are many options for different types water front access. If you want the beach side, it the intercoastal side. If you're a water lover, kayak, fishing, flats fishing, surf fishing, hiking, wildlife enthusiast, photography, or just a picnic, this place is for you. The wildlife never fails to show itself. I've seen a Florida panther, and bobcat in there. Not to mention many other species of all types, to many to mention. Absolutely amazing to explore for the day.
Turtle Mound is worth a visit! It is a short out-and-back walk on a wood boardwalk that ascends the mound. At the top, you can experience a 360 degree view, which allows you to see both shores of the island.
Plenty of butterflies and other critters to be seen, as well as some amazing twisted Oak trees and other vegetation.
It is amazing to think that the mound was created from discarded shells by the local natives. How many years it must have taken!
We visit the Turtle Mound every time we come to New Smyrna Beach. As senior citizens we are fortunate to have a National Park Pass to enter Canaveral National Seashore for free. Otherwise it is $20/ person. We like the gentle climb over the boardwalks to the top of the mound. The views from the top are beautiful!

So delicious! The beignets were pillowy pockets, hot, fresh and covered in powdered sugar. The waffles were fluffy and great flavor. Everyone enjoyed their meal and itâs a great local atmosphere!
Keith was a phenomenal instructor. Had awesome communication throughout and was super accommodating with my schedule. I had a trip coming up that I wanted to go diving on and he helped me get certified in time for it. His teaching was very thorough.
I took my husband to the Night Swan B&B for a surprise birthday present this past weekend. It was amazing! We had visited the B&B about 20 years ago for our 1st anniversary and it was everything we remembered. The hosts, David and Natalie, are amazin
Healthy, fresh, well prepared food with vegan options. Not a good place for your typical burger-and-fries American diet. My favorite was the nachos Maria, which is kind of like a combination of nachos and salad. You can add tofu or chicken for extra
Great food and atmosphere! Our server, Candace, was super friendly and attentive! The Mexican street corn and the chimichurri shrimp rice bowl was delicious! We had a friendly visit from one of the Flagler roosters as well!
This is an amazing eclectic boutique hotel. I would stay here over a Hilton any day. It feels like home, the staff is so friendly and welcoming, and a Chef personally makes breakfast for the guest each morning. Do yourself a favor and visit this prop

Lake Ashby Park is a hidden gem in central Florida halfway between Sanford and Daytona Beach! It is FREE to access, and is a beautiful, well-kept, and peaceful park complete with a boardwalk over Lake Ashby, hiking trail, horseback riding trails, a p
Wow this beach was really nice. Accessible from downtown Orlando. Visitors can park their car on the sand. Water was extremely pure. Seawaves are enough for surfing.
And I met cute turtles by coincidence!!
Had the pleasure of stumbling across uncle chickens today. Had never noticed it when driving by before but so glad I found them on google! Fries were thin, crispy on outside, and tasted of fresh potato inside with sea salt on top. For the entree I pi
