I always took my kids when they were younger, on my visitation. Fished in the pond with them & I fished there, taking my bike, ever since I was a kid also.
Great park with plenty to do for the whole family! I would definitely return. I only wish they had some shade on the kids playground. Equipment gets so hot on a summer day.
Great walking circuit. Kids playground is full of safe fun climbing with no swings for kids to get hurt; covered pavilion for family picnics and benches throughout. ALOT of plastic, even the floating dock. Bring a book and some lunch, it's a wonderful resource!
we’ve attended a few parties thrown at this park - the pavilion area is a great space & close to the play area for the kids. The play area is smaller than others and more for younger aged kids - some equipment appeared to broken but the kids managed to have fun still. Location is nice, close to Highway and stores if you need to run and get something & nice quiet neighborhood. Parking lot is a good size & park has always been clean whenever we’ve gone for parties. • con(s): PORT O POTTIES 🤢 not sure how often they’re cleaned but I’ve driven to the nearby jewel to use their bathroom instead. There’s also a picnic table that’s in an uncovered area that’s in the “open” space next ti the the covered area & my toddler was running playing tag with kids in the area between the covered area and playground and unfortunately ran right into a corner of the table and got hurt in the face. Not sure if the randomly placed table can be moved in a different area and not nearby where there’s a lot of foot traffic of little ones but he was a few cm away from a serious eye injury.
Pond, path, playground, splash park, basketball courts, soccer field- what’s not to love!! Stocked w little fish for great fun w the kids. Hint: use hot dog pieces as bait.
