Beautiful drive. It didn't match all the hype though. Best part was the little coffee shop, Trillium Woods. Great little spot. Awesome service. Road is very narrow. Had to stop off edge of road for cars to pass in a few spots. No where to stop and enjoy the scenery. And has many homes along the way. Like I said, a beautiful drive. But there are a few spots I would prefer. Like...Route 2 in U.P.
Tunnel of trees- so beautiful! Views of Lake Michigan and the woods. Trillium are gorgeous in May.
I recommend going early. It was fun. Make sure you stop at the good hart general store. I also enjoyed the cider from the tea shop. I only wish there was more places to stop and pullover for pictures. Seems like every area had no trespassing signs..
Although it is beautiful, be aware that the majority of this road is residential, no place to pull over and have a look at the scenery, since everyone has private property signs posted everywhere. I find it questionable that all these people own the land across the street from their home that overlooks the water. Yet they have it all blocked with boulders and signs. Not even trails to walk or hike, all privately owned.
Beautiful scenic ride. Road throughout is a little narrow but as you drive there are a few roadsides like general store, cabin with cider, and pictures to take of the water.
Love this drive! If you like the woods and winding roads - take the road closest to the coast (119) the entire way from Habor Springs until you come to the Legs Inn Restaurant. It's a favorite drive of mine.
It is very scenic and lovely. Fabulous fall colors and spectacular views of lake Michigan. Be warned, there were tons of cars and people on a thin and curvy road. Some drivers don't quite know how to scoot over, and at popular stop points pedestrians tended to walk right out in front of oncoming traffic. You have to be on guard while driving it. Political signs ruined a bit of the lovely scenery, but fairly easy to ignore.
IN AWE OF ANOTHER PLACE GOD'S BEAUTY HE GAVE US TO ENJOY IN NORTHERN MICHIGAN! MY FIRST TRIP THROUGH THE TUNNEL OF TREES! LEAVES WERE JUST STARTING TO CHANGE COLOR. OUR TIME THERE WAS OCT 7. OUR DAY TRIP TOOK US TO GOODHART, MI. VISITED THE BUSTLING 'LIL GENERAL STORE, AND THE FEW VENDORS OUTSIDE THE STORE. PORTA POTTIES TO USE OUT BACK, BUT BRING YOUR OWN TP. THEY RAN OUT WHEN WE WERE THERE. A COMMON FIRE PIT WAS THERE WITH VISITORS SITTING AROUND IT ENJOYING A NICE FIRE. PICNIC TABLES THERE TO SIT AT ALSO.

I have been wanting to try this place for awhile now, but don't drive downtown very often. We'll today I finally got to! Though they didn't have any grilled sandwiches, I didn't care much as I just wanted to try a spread of different cheeses. First o
Amazing service, literally everyone that worked there was so kind. The friend I stayed with is still talking about their continental breakfast, saying itâs the best theyâve had. It must be the love they prepared the food with. The rooms were clea
Sat outside, was great weather! Food was delish! We ordered the Chicken Naan with Onion Rings, Woodward Sliders with Fries and Salad with Goat Cheese, Couscous, Pecans, etc. Gets pricey when you upgrade the sides and add on the CC processing fee,
Pretty good. First time. Could never afford the top end steak. Nice to dream though. Spaghetti and meatballs was very nice. A large portion. Cobb salad was excellent. Coffee was super. Blueberry pie ala mode was very tasty.
Great Chinese food. A very surprising find in Northern Michigan. The location was a bit small though, and we almost couldn't get a seat. I think it could also benefit from some more modern decor.
