This is a a bit of a quirky a seafood restaurant in the heart of Boothbay Harbor. It's attached to the hotel that we stayed at. We had the opportunity to dine downstairs in the converted tugboat, by the bar. We even had some musical accompaniment by a local singer at the piano. We thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere, service, and food (including dessert).
Let me just start out by saying this: the lobster bisque is really amazing! .. the best I've ever had. The seafood Alfredo is so good too! It's loaded with shrimp, scallops, and lobster.
That upper deck area has the nicest view in town. Food was really decent. Drinks were good. Service was perfect. Definitely recommend. My only recommendations, the price for the 1 little crab cake is a but steep. It's good, but a hockey puck portion could be a little cheaper. The pain killer drink was good, but it could be perfect with a little splash of a second rum. Other places have the coconut rum too, but throw in half a shot of 151 😁. All around though, wonderful place and great staff.
Lobster roll was delicious. Servers were fabulous. Even only having 2 and they did their best!
We ate here because we were staying at the inn but we were pleasantly surprised. I got the seafood medley and everything was cooked perfectly, including the scallops. My husband got the pot roast special and it was amazing! They had a good selection of local beers, too. We went at night but they probably have lovely ocean views during the day. Definitely recommend!
Great place, great food, great service. You enter the restaurant by boarding an old, actual Tugboat. The restaurant has lots of seating and several tables looking out on the harbor. The inside is a little dated, but the food and service had our attention the whole time. We shared a bowl of clam chowder which had decent sized chunks of clams, potatoes cooked perfectly and a nice flavor. My wife ordered the Seafood Medley and I ordered the Captains Platter. The food was very fresh, hot and delicious. Our server was very friendly and funny and checked in on us often. We highly recommend this place. BTW, they have parking behind the restaurant so you don't have to try to park your F250 in a spot the size of a small sedan (which I did successfully 😁)
Place was packed and we thought we would be waiting for hours. The staff was amazing. They worked quickly to get everyone seated and fed all while never making you feel rushed. The service was truly above and beyond. The food was very good and not over priced. Casual atmosphere and very family friendly. Almost forgot to mention the beautiful view!
My favorite lobster roll was from here, and the steamed clams. I was just looking at the souvenir glass from their signature drinks (pay couple dollars more) - remembering the good times. Reminded me to leave a review. Lobster meat was there, roll was done properly, clams were better than the co-op we went to night before. When I think back, this lunch was one of the best meals in the area.

Reserved through Yelp and they confirmed the day prior via text. Arrived 10 minutes prior and was seated immediately. Ade was our amazing waitress who was prompt with drinks and our ordering. Party of 5: Two of us had beers and one had lemonade.
Cabbage Island Clam Bake was a great experience! My dad has been going for years and finally brought us along for the ride. The boat tour to the island was fun and relaxing with some interesting facts about the area on the way. As we pulled in you co
Our anniversary celebration was perfect at the Topside Inn. Start to finish we had a fabulous stay. The room was beautiful with a cozy fireplace and the patio view was hard to beat. One of our highlights were the Cookie Du Jour....a different home

We only had dinner here, but it was excellent across the board! Food, service and atmosphere were all phenomenal. We will definitely return when in the area again!
There are currently limited places that are open in the area and we were happy to have found this place! Their deserts were deliciously large and their breakfast sandwich was super yummy! I definitely recommend maybe calling in your order ahead of ar
Great resort. The plentiful watercraft/sailboats are in good shape, no waiting around to get access and there are knowledgeable and friendly staff (and they are waiting to help you, no searching for someone to help). Kids activities were more abundan
We loved our stay in Boothbay Harbor. Our room at the Tugboat Inn was perfect-- in our budget, clean, and a beautiful location to spend a night. We stayed in room 108. Our mini fridge was very loud so we had to unplug it for the night, and the noi
Food was very good. The lobster stew was rich with plenty of fresh lobster ð¦ meat. The guiness beef stew was also rich and flavorful. Both warmed me up on a cold evening. Drinks are generous. The staff are plesant and interactive and attentive. I
