Fuel up with Italian food after the long run on slope at Sugarloaf Enjoy your meal my fellow sugarloafer !!
Great spot for either friend meetup at the bar or families in the restaurant. Nice selection of food, with friendly service. No wifi makes for a relaxing break.
Came to this restaurant in 2022 while visiting my cousins in Kingfield. It was excellent. Flew in from Texas a couple of days ago, went back on Monday, Sept 25. Got the same Sirlon Steak entree. Same price and best steak I've had in a long time. Emile was our server. Great service. Can't say enough about this place. If you are in the area, stop in. Thank you Emilee and Chef!
Found this gem from a friend! Went one time for the weekend, then we couldn't stop coming back each day for dinner. Wait staff started recognizing us lol went back again a couple weeks later and they still remembered us. Friendly staff the food is amazing I can't get enough of the pasta dishes! Very highly recommended
The beef and wild mushroom soup was to die for. So delicious we brought some home. Calamari was soft and cooked perfectly. My Haddock was thick and fresh. My hubby's pasta was delicious. Everything was scrumptious. Staff was wonderful. We had a great experience. Price was spot on for food of this quality.
Love the winter vibe here. Husband and I came in on Saturday night and had an appetizer and beers at the bar. Haddock fish cakes were just right. Other food I've had here is delicious as well. Can't say I've ever left hungry. Cozy spot, great atmosphere and crowd.
Keep on driving...not worth the bother. Especially avoid the salad ($4.95 for iceberg, 1 cherry tomato, 2 rings of onion, and 2 olives) and the desserts (overpriced, industrial production, especially the tiramisu which is more like super sweet slop with a few faux lady fingers). The wine on tap is good, as is the pizza. Ribeye steak edible, but they smother it in sauce to hide the extra fatty cuts of meat.
Great experience with a large group in a busy night. Extensive menu which works well for kids, teens and adults. Service was fun, friendly and made the experience a win for all. The mussels were a knockout and we loved the French Onion soup. We will be back!

The Bag and Kettle has been serving hungry Sugarloafers since 1969. Stopped in for lunch on a beautiful fall afternoon in Carrabassett Valley. Peak foliage time! Busy lunchtime, with a lively no frills atmosphere. The menu was streamlined. Typical pu
