TRYP by Wyndham Savannah Downtown/Historic District - Hotel in Savannah - 320 Montgomery St, USA

This was a great hotel. I was fortunate to get one of the recently renovated rooms. It has hardwood floors and no carpet. I was on the 5th floor so don't know if there is a sound issue below with no carpet. ||Two things that were missing included no lights above the bed to read by other than a lamp between the beds. The other was the bathroom fan did not appear to be functioning. ||Other than that the front staff was very accommodating, helpful, and friendly.|There was no restaurant in the hotel, but coffee shops were around the corner down a couple of blocks on Liberty St. ||Would stay there again on an upper floor. I am stuck at the hotel and will be late for work. Used there valet service a couple of months ago with no issue- now I’m back down for work and staying here again. Used the valet service and now my keys are locked until 7a. No staff is able to get me my car keys. I’ve never used a valet that makes my car completely unavailable before. Woman on staff was unhelpful and gave me attitude when explaining that we would not be able to access our car at all until the valet service started again at 7a. Will not stay here again. Definitely not for people here for work. If we had an emergency what would be able to do? EDIT: the man working the valet was incredibly helpful and took care of the situation. Wish we had gotten to talk to him from the beginning.

Very friendly staff. The room was spacious. The beds were very comfortable. The location was perfect for us. We did not use valet as the garage was across the street! There was coffee in the room, but I never use those machines. Although this one did appear clean. Not a bad thing to say about the place. Will definitely go back!!!

We arrived late afternoon due to traffic issues, parked in the garage across the street (literally <100ft) for $6 per night. Greeted warmly at the door by the valet parking gentleman, entered and greeted by a very friendly woman who welcomed while checking us in. She was efficient, gave local information including a recommendation to eat at the Public Restaurant (within walking distance). It had phenomenal food and service! We had a King bed room which was very nicely appointed, very clean and she accommodated our request to move to a higher floor with no issue. Each time we came and went we were greeted/welcomed back. Great stay! Our son has stayed there before and my wife and I a couple of times as we are passing through. Each time, Tryp at Savannah has been a great experience as to quality of accommodation and excellence in personal customer service. Tryp is locatef perfectly for walking to shops, restaurants, parks, transportation and the Visitor's Center. Stay here and decide for yourself. Be Blessed!

The hotel is going through some much needed upgrades and has really improved since my last stay. I liked that they did service my room everyday and the staff were pleasant. I hope that the hotel is able to establish a nice hotel bar, and think about adding some additional amenities to the rooms. It is also pet friendly now, which will be a plus for future stays.

Staff very nice, friendly and helpful. Very nice room setup, the decor is pleasing to my taste. Hotel was very clean. Service was very good, would have liked having restaurant and bar fully functional, the great price helped overlook that they weren't up to par. Parking is an issue, very pricey. Overall definitely will be staying here again.

It was a beautiful hotel. We stayed in room 522 and the room looked nice but the beds were not very comfortable and one bed was like sleeping on a rock and the other bed was slightly softer but still not the best. It was also very dark in the bathroom. The only lighting was four very dim vanity lights; no ceiling light or light in the shower so it was very difficult to see in the bathroom. They also do not mention that you have to pay a $250 deposit when you check in and the parking is horrible. You either pay $30 for vallet parking or $7 a pop at the parking garage nearby.

Nice hotel. Will consider staying here again when I visit SCAD/Savannah. Extra $30 a day for parking / valet services. Cleveland, on the valet team was exceptional. He was fun, friendly, positive and energetic and maneuvered the Savannah streets with knowledge and precision.
