Tru by Hilton Waco South - Hotel in Waco - 2408 Marketplace Dr, USA

Clean. Very spartan. Comfortable bed. The shower door wouldn't close, so i had to be careful not to let water out into the bathroom floor. No half and half coffee creamer both of the days I stayed, which was a disappointment; just sweetened creamer. All in all, a pleasant stay.

Stayed for a few days in April 2024. Our first time in a Tru property. Room was clean and well maintained. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful, especially Amber at the front desk. Breakfast was good. Fitness room was clean and all the equipment was working. Game area in the lobby had a pool table, several oversized games (like giant connect 4), and multiple board games. Small outdoor patio with a firepit. No swimming pool. Plenty of free parking. Shopping center within easy walking distance with multiple restaurants, and more within a short drive. No closet or dresser in the room, just a bar with hangers and a set of large hooks on the wall - wasn't a problem for us but if you are traveling with a lot of stuff you may not be able to pull everything out of your suitcase. Overall a good stay and we would be happy to return.

This was a clean, quaint and comfortable place to stay. Tommy was very nice at check in. Very reasonably priced and breakfast wasn't bad. I liked the soap and lotion amenities in the bathroom. Only about 10 min from Downtown Waco/ Silos/ Dr. Pepper Museum. That was very convenient. I would definitely stay here again.

I came to Waco to help a sick family member, intending to stay one night here. I ended up returning three more times. The bed was very comfortable, the shower was great, the AC was cold, and they had delicious coffee. The breakfast was not as extensive as some hotels, but it was fine. It’s in a great location, near a large shopping center with lots of restaurants. There were some minor issues that keep me from giving 5 stars: the rooms are a little dim, the sink in one of my rooms was clogged, and there was an occasional mechanical noise of some kind. Also, if you need to do laundry, they have a shared arrangement with the hotel next door. But the Tru hotel was a respite for me during some difficult days. It’s a nice place to rest.

I was able to get a room at the last minute. The staff was friendly, the room was clean and comfy as always. This was my 3rd or 4th time to stay at a Tru by Hilton. I have always had a great experience at these hotels. Tue breakfast was delicious and the lobby had games and things to do.

Positive: The gentleman working the front desk the night I checked in was THE KINDEST, NICEST and FRIENDLIEST person ever. I wish I had gotten his name! Also, the mattress was amazing. Negative: Young lady working the front desk at checkout was not nice or friendly. Pillows weren't great.

From reading reviews I knew that there was no closet, just a bar and pegs to hang clothes but that was fine for one night. The bed was somewhat soft but comfortable. The sheets were very nice, the towels were usual hotel towels. Breakfast was good. People next door were somewhat loud, even though quite hours are posted. Too bad that people can be so rude. I will stay there again.

My daughter and I stayed 2 nites in Waco. We found the room to be clean, tidy and fully stocked with towels. Enjoyed the mini fridge for drinks and a thermostat we could control, there was a heat advisory while we were there. Breakfast was just ok, did like the pancake maker but the eggs were sketchy.
