Tru by Hilton Smyrna Nashville - Featured Reviews (513)
This isn't a bad review, nor does it contain anything negative. My wife and I were not crazy about this property. People who travel a lot for business may like a property like this but it wasn't for us. Our room felt more like a hospital room than a hotel. It was clean, as advertised, and everything worked as it should, it just felt "sterile" as opposed to warm and inviting. The staff were friendly and inviting. The breakfast was good and typical fare for a Hilton property.
Could use some attention. I booked third party. I requested a top floor but was given a third floor. |I also requested a space that was away from noise as I experience bad insomnia, was put across from the elevator. | We were on the third floor. Our upstairs neighbor was a quiet but could hear them if they got up. Fortunately they settled in for the night.|Bed was comfortable. Room was clean bathroom was clean but could use some attention to details. |Check in was good, no issues. Hostess could have been a bit more cheerful as she seemed to want to be done with the evening. I get it, customers can be difficult. She seemed to cheer up as I checked in and was overly polite to her. |Sometimes extra kindness goes a long way. |Checking out the young lady was so polite and sent me on our way with no issues. Just a big huge smile and thank you. I would stay here again but hopefully they pay more attention to details.
Everything was fine until the last night of my stay. I don’t agree with their policy of “every other day housekeeping” at the rates they charge. I asked the evening desk clerk for towels and he said they would be brought up. Never happened. The next morning I politely asked the housekeeper for a towel and washcloth. She had a full cart of towels and would not give me one. She said she didn’t speak English. So I asked in Spanish and she laughed at me and said she didn’t have any when they were literally right there! The front desk clerk was unconcerned and unapologetic. I’m absolutely furious. As a paying guest, I’m not here to play games with rude childish staff members!! I have to return to the area two more times next month and I’ll be staying at a non-Hilton brand and canceling my Homors membership!
The hotel offered excellent value for the price. We enjoyed the breakfast and pool facilities. The majority of the staff was friendly however the lady who assisted us during checkout seemed to be having an off day. Unfortunately, our stay was disrupted by very noisy neighbors, whose conversations would be heard. Also, other guests were running in the hallways. Finally, the bathroom had mold near the shower and our 'Do not Disturb' sign was taken off our door.
My experience was probably a bit different from many of the other reviewers that I've seen on here.
First, I checked in on the app and requested a digital key, so I never stopped at or talked with anyone at the front desk. I've found the Hilton properties to be very hit-and-miss on whether the digital keys will work, but this one did.
Second, I was looking for an affordable place to stay to split up a 24 hour drive from Lake Superior to Florida. I needed a clean and quiet room - and that's what I had.
I needed a place for dinner, and there are 20+ restaurants within a mile of this hotel.
I left very early in the morning so didn't use their breakfast service.
I would have used the pool before bed time, but it was packed. That's okay, looked like they were having fun.
Overall, I'd do it again.
READ CURRENT REVIEWS DON’T LOOK AT THE CUMULATIVE… I made the mistake of looking at the overall cumulative Review. We had never stayed at TRU so I have nothing against it being a value brand. I should have done my research and Educated myself on the things that would’ve been missing in the room such as coffee pot, microwave and bedside lamps. The things I have issue with is the massive noise level from room to room. Basic conversations can be heard through the walls. Televisions watched rooms can be heard all night long. It’s a perfect hotel if you’re in a travel ball group because you can stay up all night stomp and screaming no one will really notice.( except for the guest in the lobby at check out losing her mind for the $250 fine on her bill for her kids being too noisy) And if you think you’ll bypass this hotel by going to HOME2 Just be warned they share the same lobby and the same breakfast bar. The breakfast bar is the standard items that you expect but it is organized in such a way that there ends up being a crowd at the waffle maker and pancake maker …it’s right in the middle of the line… And leaves to above mentioned travel ball kids pushing and shoving and reaching around. One last note we were traveling to a military event for the weekend and thought we could use the pool with our three-year-old granddaughter but that was not possible with the amount of teenagers making out in the pool.
Great amenities, horrible front desk staff, awful room. 2 of the front desk employees were horrendous and one was just indifferent and kinda rude. Check in time is 3pm, but we, along with other guests, sat waiting in the lobby for our rooms until 3:30. Not super easy with little kids in tow while it’s raining out. Staff did not apologize for our rooms not being ready, and then accused me of harassing them because I asked if the room was ready after check in time. I’ve never experienced that level of poor customer service. Rooms are small, smelled like cigarette smoke, shower door handle was broken, and there’s no surface area for your stuff. I would not advise families to stay in a double queen. It was very cramped with 2 adults and 2 little kids compared to other hotels we’ve stayed in. Breakfast and pool were great. But… The cons far outweigh the pros for me. I won’t be staying here again.
We booked Tru by Hilton, Smyrna Nashville, because we stayed at others with good experiences.|However, this time, we were disappointed. |The front entry, pool, and gym were nice. However, one reason we like Tru is their daily breakfast and their snack & amenities availability. |Tru Smyrna, breakfast was awful. Eggs were runny, orange juice tasted rancid, mixed fruit & and hard-boiled eggs looked dated, and their reg coffee was horrible. |One thing we have learned to appreciate is Hiltons' quality coffee service. Not at Tru Smyrna.|Their snacks were bare except for some frozen products and beverages. I should note a 16oz Coke cost $4.00|The room was adequate but dirty. * See pictures.|It's close to our daughter's family and would use it again only for a quick 1 night stay (because of $).|I hope they clean rooms and upgrade their breakfast and amenities.
Great one night stay. The attendants, Justin and Linus were absolutely the nicest they could be. Helpful and attentive in every way.
Only negative was the floor and. carpet in room 132. Carpet felt damp and hard floors were very sticky to walk on.

I stay in hotels every week for work. This hotel by far is the best I've stayed at in many many months all of the employees were exceptionally nice. They greeted me every time they aaw me. They went beyond what they had to do. Although all employees
THE BEST ARCADE SPOT ANYWHERE PROBABLY. The selection of games is so much more than any location I've ever been to in my experience, over 50 different pinball machines, they have multiple different Japanese rhythm games including wacca and project di
If you are looking for for a good quick meal, this a great place. The owner is very nice too. I had the veggie platter with falafel, grape leaves, spicy hummus and cucumber salad.
The food was delicious and the service was great!! (I dined in, but forgot to take a photo of the food. ð The Beijing Noodles have a good proportion of meat and vegetables within the lunch serving.
This was my first time ordering here. I placed a to go order for two Japanese Bagel Rolls/TN sushi rolls, with salmon, avocado, and cream cheese. I paid $15.36, each roll came with 8 pieces so 16 pieces total (I ate 2 before taking the pic). I ordere

Was a really nice park. Great sensory and beautiful. What really got me was the river at the park. It was sooo beautiful and peaceful. If I could and live near that park, it would be the place to go to clear your mind. Seeing an odd fruit that only
