My room was clean and was quiet. I normally wake easily enough but had no issues sleeping to the alarm.
The gym space was convenient and had lots of things most hotels do not.
Breakfast was simple and did the job.
Location was convenient for my travel purposes. Front desk staff was friendly.
I stayed Saturday to Tuesday so mostly quiet crowd while I was there. Parking was great.
Edit: I changed from 4 stars to 5. I had no issues and enjoyed my stay. I would stay there again. There's a steakhouse across the street and made for a great dinner.
Hotel charges a security deposit which is not disclosed. When I checked out I asked for a refund, the front desk was incredibly rude and would not confirm availability the refund. ||Three items;|1) The security deposit should be disclosed at the time the reservation is confirmed.|2) The front desk should understand the policy, since the request is unusual.|3) The front desk needs to respect guests and not get a bunch of attitude.|||I would not recommend staying at this hotel!
BUG INFESTATION. FILTHY ROOMS.
Imagine my HORROR waking up at 5:30 am to itching all over my body then turning on the bedside lamp and seeing ANTS all over the floor, bedside table, and sheets. They were in my shirt, and crawling all over my body.
I told the front desk and they “sprayed” it with like a bug spray? But there was crumbs on the floor and the floors/under the bed were visibly dirty.
We moved to a different hotel and got our money back, but they didn’t tell anyone else in the hotel, however the desk lady mentioned it’s “probably” all the other rooms on that side too??? And they didn’t tell anybody else??? Then I sat in the lobby watching them try to work out which rooms HAD actually been cleaned recently???
Disgusting. I hope they get it together after this, but I would absolutely never stay here again.
The pictures are from after I freaked tf out, rinsed off, smacked the floor with a pillow, and this is what was still LEFT.
Over all the experience at this hotel was pretty awful and would not recommend staying at this hotel.
They charge a security deposit on the room which was not disclosed on the web site or at the time the reservation was booked. When asked about the reasoning behind the front desk staff member cop a bunch of attitude and was rather rude. When I checked out it was unclear if the deposit was going to be refunded.
The front desk is not advised on the hotel policy which is quite alarming.
The noise restrictions are not enforced so hallways and adjoining rooms can make if difficult to get a good night sleep.
On a final note, I am a long term Hilton Rewards program. I been a Diamond Member for several years. This hotel is definitely off my list!
Pros: Nice rooms, good breakfast, convenient location. Good value for the money. Cons: Not much insulation between floors and rooms. Very loud. Staff could be more attentive to stocking common area items.
Overnight stay here on a Tuesday. The creek at check in wad very kind, room was great, bed was perfect.
The bathroom had everything, soap, lotion, shampoo, conditioner and bodywash and large sized containers.
I was a little disappointed that they didn't have a coffee maker in the room, but they had plenty of fresh coffee downstairs.
While the hotel was clean overall, there were a couple of notable drawbacks. Firstly, the bathroom fan was out of order during my stay on the first floor, which was inconvenient. However, my main concern was the lack of sound insulation in the building design. The room was noisy, and I could hear everything from adjacent rooms. I recommend that on less busy days, they allocate rooms apart from each other to mitigate noise disturbances.
My car broke down near this town and I needed a place to stay.
The rooms were pretty bare bones, but clean (barring a little dust on the floor). I value cleanliness the most so it was great for me!
The staff was nice and the location was within walking distance to 5 Guys and other places.
It was also easy to order ubereats.
I appreciate the service I got here while I was dealing with a stressful situation.
The 5 stars reflects that it exceeded my expectations within its class.
Would easily stay here again.
I was here at Clemson for 4 days on business. This place was great. I would enjoy staying longer. My room (standard?) had a nice and well equipped kitchen. Place was conveniently located near an Aldi where I could have purchased food to cook instead
We love this place and we just live in Salem so not to far from us. Place is always clean and all the new improvements its just gorgeous. We come just about every day in the summer. We have our own spot we love. Just please put us the people a trash
