Tru by Hilton Hershey Chocolate Avenue - Hotel in Hershey - 204 Hillcrest Rd, USA

We stayed at this location because we were going to a Hershey Bear hockey game, and the hotel was very close to the arena. It is located on the corner of a residential neighborhood, and it was nice to be able to stretch our legs after a long drive, and walk on the sidewalk around the block.|The desk clerks were all very friendly and helpful. The room was super clean and the fixtures were modern. The tv was a smart tv that offered Netflix and Showtime for free as additional viewing options. The floors were not carpeted which was also nice, as you could see how clean they were when you entered. The beds were extremely comfortable and the mini fridge worked great.|The free breakfast that was offered had so many options. There were always scrambled eggs and a protein; oatmeal and fruit; cold cereal; fresh pancakes; a toaster for breads and bagels, 3 types of juice and coffee and tea. The buffet area was well attended and clean. Plenty of seating options that were well spaced apart if you wanted to be by yourself. |There were Foosball tables and other games for families to play with, a really nice gym with treadmills and bikes, as well as an indoor pool. There was an ice machine in the lobby off to the side, and the front desk sold additional items such as beer and wine, snacks and sodas.|I would highly recommend this hotel for families visiting Hershey, as well as couples. I will definitely come back the next time our travels bring us to Hershey, PA.

My experience with this hotel was over and above. The front desk staff were extremely sweet and helpful. There was a slight issue getting my digital card to work but they gave us hotel keys so that was perfectly fine. The breakfast was delicious. The room was so nice, beds comfy and the shower was amazing. It was so nice to be close to Hershey's Chocolate World and shopping. Will definitely stay here again if we find ourselves in the area again.

If you are planning on doing all things Hershey, this is the place to stay! It was very clean, quiet, and the staff was excellent. We stayed in a king room which was perfect for 2 people and the bathrooms were a great size. The breakfast was delicious and had something for everyone. While we did not utilize the gym or pool, both were extremely clean.||The location couldn’t have been more perfect. We were 5-10 minutes away from Hershey world, park, and the museum. The downtown area has amazing places to eat - we tried Primanti Bros. for lunch and Desserts Etc. for coffees in the morning and both exceeded our expectations, highly recommend!

Recently stayed at the Tru by Hilton at Hershey, PA with my husband and daughter. I am one that always looks at hotel reviews before booking a room. This particular hotel had excellent reviews. I was excited to give this hotel a try. Once entering the lobby, I thought it seemed way smaller than the pictures online. I told the front desk clerk I had a reservation. After checking me in, they told me the elevators were at the right and breakfast would be over there. There was no small talk at all. Our room was on the 5th floor. The room was modern and simplistic. It was nice and smelled fresh and clean. We used the pool which was nice but chilly. In the evening my family played one of the free hotel board games in the lobby. One thing to be aware is there are no microwaves in the rooms. There was one in the lobby that could be shared by all guests. Once back at our room, we were ready to watch TV. Out of nowhere there was this loud humming noise. We could not figure out where it was coming from. Humming isn't the best description, it was more like a loud vibration. Maybe similar to when someone is playing loud music with a lot of bass. My husband described it as a helicopter. Regardless, it was on and off all night. My husband mentioned this at checkout and was told maybe it was the work crew plowing snow. NO! There was no way snow plows could be heard that loudly on the 5th floor. In the end overall I would say the hotel was nice and ok but not excellent. I've never wrote a review before but thought I should share my experience so the ones that read reviews could get an honest opinion.

Great hotel and location with a really convenient free breakfast service each morning from 7-10am. The only negatives was having only one working elevator during our whole stay (it got really crowded during peak times), thin walls (hear everything in hallway and outside) and the indoor pool is not heated (really cold water). Otherwise they have friendly staff, room was clean and beds were comfy. Loved that they had towels fully stocked for our stay so we didn't have to ask for extra right off the bat. Super convenient 5 min drive to Hershey Park. We would definitely stay here again.

Super small rooms. We had a single king bed and we kept smacking legs on the corners of the bed. No closet but creative alternatives to save space. Not ideal if you're staying more than one night, which we stayed 5 nights. TV never did work right. Wife couldn't get the hallmark holiday specials and that was a big bummer... for one of us. Breakfasts were great. Staff is great, they tried really hard to figure out the TV situation but we checked out before they get very it figured out. Great location. Super close to everything.

This is an affordable family hotel. It’s clean and very modern. Pet friendly. My kids enjoyed the pool. Standard hotel breakfast. Rooms are on the smaller side & beds are a little firm. All the staff were friendly and helpful.

Wonderful service! We stayed here and right away the staff were super friendly and the environment felt very low key and more modern. The design of the hotel felt super new and very accommodating to kids. The lobby was always playing Disney channel and the pool was nice and clean. The room was clean and comfortable, we even had a view of the Hershey park rides from our window! The breakfast was super unique they had a pancake machine that was hands free and all types of toppings. We left dead in the night to make it home and the staff even brewed us fresh coffee for our drive. Will definitely be staying again and if you have a large family with young kids this place will become a favorite guarantee.
