Everyone is friendly and accommodating. My room was changed from what I had picked for check-in but they kept it close to where I had originally booked. Breakfast was good, beds comfy. Easy to find and convenient. Be sure to sign up for Hilton honors account- they’re getting better and more creative with their rewards.
Was very much pleased with this hotel. For a 'basic' (not intended as a put down just a descriptive word) hotel, it was very effectient. Room was generally small but everything was so put together efficiently! Hotel and room was clean, modern. The office area very cool. Colorful, modern. Loads of sitting areas. Lots of variety to purchase foods, snacks and drinks.
The breakfast was awesome!!! They had oatmeal! With toppings available of cranberries, pecans and brown sugar. They offered scrambled eggs, sausage and various breads (no pastries). Bananas, apples, yogurt, boiled eggs. I am going to definitely look for this chain on my way home. Loved this hotel.
It’s a pretty good hotel I have no idea why it only have 3.7 points. I got assigned to the disability room and the room is pretty big. The room is kinda empty since it doesn’t have too much furnitures. But it’s was clean and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast as better than except. The front desk person was very friendly, he gave me free water and chips as Hilton member. I am not sure it’s for everyone or only Hilton members.
Clean room, modern look, but definitely limited on storage and space. It was easily doable for a night, but if you were going to be there longer than a night or two, I could see how such a limited layout would make unpacking and organizing your stuff challenging. They provide a good breakfast for free. My only complaint was it didn’t seem to be in the best area, but it was very close to Everglades and Biscayne. AC worked great, and they didn’t limit your control of the temperature setting, which some hotels are starting to do. Only reason I don’t like booking Tru hotels is because Hilton only gives you half the points for your stay compared to some of their other chains.
I am a Hilton Honors member, and usually stay in Hilton properties when I travel. I had never stayed in a Tru property before this one, and was very disappointed. My selected room was not honored, the WiFi never worked (2 days), there was no guest laundry room (and the one at a next door sister property was broken), the room was extremely small, and although the employees were friendly, there was not much concern or urgency in rectifying anything. I would definitely not stay here again.
We arrived late at midnight and had been given room 307. When we went into the room there were several black roaches crawling all over the bathroom floor, in the shower, on the wall, and in the door jam.
I went down to the desk and they moved us t ok a new room. They gave us room 507. We did a quick sweep of the room and went to bed. We slept dressed in pants and hooded sweatshirt as we didn’t even want to think about what might be lurking. When we woke in the morning, on the sheets and on a pillow was blood.
We packed our things up and got out as fast as we could. When I told the front desk what had happened he told me I should have come down and asked for another room.
I repeated to him the scenario that he had helped with at midnight the night before. I told him again how the blood stains had been found this morning. I then went into detail about how unclean the room was on the surfaces with visible human fluids and door handles and walls that looked like they had never been wiped down.
As a guest who picks Tru and has never had any issues such as these, this experience has changed that. I will never step foot in a Tru again.
I would definitely NOT RECOMMEND this location as it must be something that happens often here. They were underwhelming apologetic.
Just tried to stay here. We’ve stayed at quite a few Tru’s in different locations and always had a good experience. This time was really rough and quite a shock. They weren’t running any AC above the lobby so it was hot and humid the moment you got into the elevator. Then there was no hot water in our room. When they tried to move us to a different room the lock was broken so we couldn’t use the key card to get in. We ran up and down twice trying different cards and nothing worked.
Finally we decided to leave and we had to argue with the staff and manager about getting our reservation canceled before they would finally let us leave without charging us. I would recommend avoiding this hotel at all costs.
My stay at Tru by Hilton was ruined by being trapped in their elevator for 45 minutes without AC (which did not exist in the halls or lobby) Worryingly more-so, the call for help button in the elevator was not functional, luckily I was able to call 911 from my cell phone. I have already filed a formal complaint with the state of Florida. Despite notifying the staff, the issue was not resolved, and I was offered inadequate compensation. Additionally, I had to be pulled from the elevator upon rescue, resulting in minor injuries. While the hotel's modern amenities are commendable, the poor handling of this incident and lack of proper customer service overshadowed the experience. Until improvements are made, I cannot recommend Tru by Hilton to others.
I am surprised that this is a Best Western property. It is a vast contrast to their other properties that I have stayed at. The location is great but that is all that is good about it. I travel a lot and I try to stay within an amount to be sure to g
I stayed 4 nights using this motel as a homebase for trips to the Everglades on my way back from the Keys. The service was exceptional. The staff feels like family, they are so kind and accommodating and eager to help. The pool area is beautiful, ful
We occasionally find this paradise of sweets on our journey to the Everglades. The best key lime pie we ever had. The original and guava flavor are the best while the rest are also delicious. It should be on the must-go list for every South Florida v

Steak and shrimp was fresh and delicious, service was great. Highly recommend the cactus flower. Their signature fresh baked bread was sweet with some spices like cinnamon, quite different than usual bread yet we did enjoy it with salty butter. Overa
We came for breakfast and really enjoyed everything that we ordered (coffee, eggs, sausages, home fries, French toast, omelette, and steak+eggs).
They have so many seafood options and Iâd love to come back and try their lunch and dinner offerings.
I visited Top Taste Jamaican Restaurant on my way to Key West and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and quantity of the food. The jerk chicken was tender and flavorful, the rice and peas were cooked to perfection, and the plantains were sweet
Nice and clean place. Quality and delicious food as always. Friendly staff always ready for good service. Ample space of parking. Restroom facility available.
