Our plan was to stay for five days and four nights, but due to an emergency back home, it was cut short to three days and two nights. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The bathroom and shower were comfortable as well. Our breakfast had good pancakes and eggs. The front desk was friendly and helpful in our needs.as.well. Our only complaint would be that the Google GPS had us going 7 miles out of our way to get to the Tru, even though we were looking right at it from a block up the street. They have convenient access to I-40 at Porters Cove Road, and many of Asheville destinations.
This is a new style of hotel that mixes some of the European basic smaller rooms with a really nice full service lobby. It was perfect for us as we were passing through and just needed a clean place to sleep and a quick breakfast. I will note that the rooms and bathrooms are still bigger than what you find in France.
Nice modern, clean hotel. Easy to get to and offered a much better rate than several surrounding hotels. We booked a 1 King room — if you’re staying for more than a day or pack on the heavier side, plan on actually spending time in the room, etc. I would highly recommend a king suite or larger room if they have one. No storage for clothes or your bags. It was our first time at a Tru, but I don’t think you get the standard Hilton Honors water bottles. We spent $6 on two waters but on the flip side, they had a really nice snack & drink area (for purchase) and complimentary coffee appeared to be available all the time (no Keurig in room). Rooms have hard flooring which to me is a lot cleaner than dirty carpet, so I really liked that too. Shampoo/conditioner/body wash already in the shower so you don’t have to fidget with tiny bottles if you forget to bring yours. We’d stay here again for sure!
Nothing to complain about, price was right and not enormous for gross rooms. Got greeted as soon as we walked in and the lady even gave us complementary waters. Rooms were clean checkout wasn’t an issue either. If I ever come back around this area in the future and need a hotel I will definitely stay here again.
This is our second time staying at this hotel and I’m just thankful that it’s still in good condition after 3 years. It’s so nice to be able to find a hotel that keeps up with cleanliness and has great customer service. Although it’s a bit outside of the city, I’d say this location is perfect, close to the blue ridge parkway with access to lots of trail and beauty. A breath of fresh air, compared to other parts of town which seem to be having issues with cleanliness.
Shower was fantastic. Bed was comfortable. Quiet room. Space for luggage and items was lacking. Room was small. Nice if you aren’t spending much time in the hotel. ||It was our first time at a Tru. We’d stay again, especially on road trips||The shower was the best I’ve had at a hotel in years. I even took a second shower in the morning even though I had taken one the evening before.
This was our first time staying in East Asheville, we wanted to be away from the hustle and bustle and this hotel really accomplished that. We drove 12 hours and arrived early, we were checked in with no issue by Brayan who was extremely pleasant and accommodating. He gave us all the info for the hotel we could possibly need and picked a room with a fantastic view. The room was super cozy and there is plenty of storage space if you follow the prompts on the room. It honestly was a super clean and bright room with comfortable beds. The TV is big. You can tell the employees really care about the property. We used the pool which was fully functional and clean. My family was able to come sit with us in the spaces outside. There is so much seating inside and outside it's awesome. And of course the pool table in the lobby, super cool!!!! What a great place to visit, we were only here a day and a night but we definitely feel the value definitely exceeded the cost and we will be returning. Now off to Tru Mooresville, super excited!!!!!
Very clean hotel (inside and out) and nice outdoor pool with a Mountain View. Staff was very friendly and courteous! Breakfast was perfect for a traveling family with a lot of variety. Would definitely recommend staying here again! Great place!!
