I travel to Ankeny once a month and have been staying at the Residence Inn, but was so excited to see some competition open up, as their rates have been getting higher and higher, and quality has been suffering. I was delighted by my stay at Tru! The new rooms are cozy, beds comfy, they have loads of snacks for purchase, nice gym, and not bad breakfast. Definitely will be staying here for my future visits!
We stayed at this brand new hotel for one night while on a road trip. The room was well thought out and extremely comfortable. I loved that the floors were hard surfaces - no icky hotel carpet! They had a small store for snacks and a beverage for your room. The hotel also had a well stocked breakfast and plenty of open space to relax. The surrounding area is also very nice with multiple restaurant and bar options. It was around five miles off I80 but worth the short diversion. I’d highly recommend this property!
Great location beautiful room. The hotel had breakfast, lounge, bar, pools, and fitness center. It was great to have a closed off bedroom from the rest of the hotel room as well

Very clean and fairly new modern hotel. Nice business center with printers. Lot of seating for eating and work. 2 free 64 amp Tesla chargers. Breakfast is not complimentary anymore, you must purchase.
