Tropical Sands Resort - Featured Reviews (215)
We just stayed at this newly reopened resort at Fort Myers beach. We really had a great time. The rooms are so spacious and decorated very nice and beachy. The beach is across the street, the sand is so white and beautiful, the sunsets were amazing. I would definitely recommend this resort.
real nice resort ,clean and well maintained nice pool, will be better when the beach is rebuilt, not many places to eat like befor.
We visited one week after their opening since Hurricane Ian. The staff made Herculean efforts to get the resort open this soon. Most other resorts are far from being ready.
Very nice and clean and spacious units. Had everything we could possibly need. They obviously spray here and maintain the property well. There was not one single bug to be found. People were so friendly. Only downfall is walk to the beach is a quarter mile hike across the street. It is on the trolley line so that's fun! Pool is nice, they provide all stuff to use for bbqs. The screened in lanai is nice and fully sized washer and dryers in the units!
I have been coming here my whole life- loved it so much as a kid, I now bring my kids here! The rooms are nice and clean, have well stocked kitchens, and lovely screened in porches. We walk to the beach across the street, swim in the nice pool, and grill out at the grills pretty much all week! A wonderful vacation, nice and quiet for families. My 4 kids wouldn’t want to vacation elsewhere!!
The new manager, Ty, is so pleasant and accommodating! He came by and chatted poolside, had put together some fun poolside entertainment, and clearly cares about everyone’s experience!! We have thoroughly enjoyed ourselves yet again, and will be back next year!
I don't normally give a five-star rating. Just so you know because there's always room for improvement. This place is a decent. Not a lot for kids to do anything on the property. The pool closes at dusk and when it's winter time that means 6:00 at the latest so that kind of stinks. The room and apartment or condo is very nice, but you're only allowed to have the AC no lower than like 72 or something like that and I like to have it a little cooler than that. So I'm thankful for the stay. There's not too much to complain about.
This resort is for the quiet and laidback. Not a lot to do on the property itself. This is nestled on the quiet end of the island, so you have to go down a short way to all the action. The room was a bit dated, but clean and had everything you really needed as far as cooking utensils and things like that. For the points the trip cost me this was a good value. This is a "Chill" spot not a "Party" spot.|| The staff was great very accommodating to any of our request. We spent like an hour after we checked looking for my son wallet, and the cleaning staff helped the whole time, they went above and beyond. I haven't stayed anywhere I felt was deserving of 5 stars so my 3 stars is really 4 in all fairness.
Can't say enough good things about this place. Location was great, we could see the ocean beyond the hotels across the street and the beach was easily accessible. All the employees were super nice, Ty was great! The rooms were very clean. You can tell they are older but everything has been updated and well maintained.

It's great. Nice staff but we had our chairs taken out from under us before dusk so they could lock them up. We had to sit on the sand for over an hour and a half and wait to watch the sunset.
Just 3 months ago my family had a vacation here, and according to photos I have seen coming from Fort Myers Beach after Hurricane Ian, it does appear that the entire building has been washed away. I really hope they can rebuild, it was such a great p
I never should have moved any of my clothes down from Wisconsin. I live in their clothes! They are age appropriate, and very stylish. I am also short and curvy and everything fits so well.
Captain Neil brought my friend and I out for quite an adventure. I honestly donât have much experience fishing and Neil taught me a bunch. He kept me focused and on point so I can catch most of the fish that bit my line. Neil is not only an expert
This is a very nice long beach, and it's a hidden gem for those seeking solitude. On top, they have some nice trails to hike. The price for parking is more than fair. The stretch of shoreline is extensive, providing ample opportunities to find a quie

I love coming to fort Myers beach I have been for years. I have always stayed at another place but this year we wanted to try some place different and I would have to say this place is absolutely perfect! The owners are wonderful and inviting people.
Nice beach with soft sand, great for building sand sculptures. Plenty of room to spread out and set up canopies. There are clean air conditioned bathrooms/changing rooms. Plenty of metered parking by kiosk or mobile app. Make sure you park in a mar
What a stunning knock dead gorgeous place. Beautiful beaches, estuaries, and Discovery Center.
We first stopped at the Discovery Center to get the lay of the land, so to speak. We were met by Glenda, a docent who volunteers her time here. Very pleas
