Tropic Shores Resort - Resort hotel in Daytona Beach - 3111 S Atlantic Ave, USA

I love this resort. Its balcony view of the ocean is a beautiful sight to wake up to. They keep their beaches clean, and you can walk, run, jog, ride your bike, and of course sunbathe, a little surfing, and swim till your heart's content. The staff is great, very quick to respond to your needs. However, a big complaint was that the unit wasn't cleaned properly. As soon as I opened the door, an odor hit me, and that let me know that the unit was not cleaned the way it should be. The bathroom was the main source of the odor. The bathtub was lined with a dark film, I did not feel comfortable stepping in it with my bare feet. The film on the toilet seat was not fit to sit on, and there was some red stuff running down into the toilet bowl, and the floor was filthy with black spots, and black film in the back and around the toilet area. Also, the floor in the main living/kitchen area was dirty and gritty. The refrigerator was also filthy. The bedroom carpet was stained and smelly, and filthy. I arrived at 1:30 in the morning and had to clean the bathroom before we could use it. I usually bring my own cleanser, and the black stuff in the tub showed distinctly on the towel, and when I sprayed the toilet and wiped the seat with the washcloth, some yellowish brown stuff. I called the front desk when I woke up and got dressed. The housecleaning crew was sent up within 10 minutes, along with the upholstery/carpet cleaning guy. After showing everything that I spoke about and asked if they would disinfect all of the surfaces , I left and In the evening, when I returned to a different, I was hit with a different, refreshing smell and a clean unit! They did a great job, and I was happy. But, no one should expect this to happen when you are on vacation.

My grandparents own a timeshare here and we have always loved coming here every summer!! So many memories of my childhood here and even with no pool right now (construction), they still make up for that by having all the fun events throughout the week. We had the best time doing tie dye shirts and having the complimentary afternoon floats/ice cream! The staff is great, the rooms are great, and the service is respectful. Even got cool views of the SpaceX rockets launching!!!

Perfect location on the beach. Beautiful ocean view. Morning sunrises are amazing. The staff are all friendly and helpful. Rooms are a good size and we have everything we need. Love this location!

We enjoyed every second of our stay! Beautiful area, great restaurants, and beautiful beach with breathtaking sunrises. The staff at Tropic Shores go above & beyond for their customers. Highly recommend.

My husband and I were given a friend's timeshare here as a wedding present. While I was bummed that there was no pool or beach access due to the hurricanes, I soon changed my tune. This place is great! Our room was absolutely perfect. We had the most gorgeous ocean view. The bedroom was located on the west side of the building and there was a beautiful view of the river and sunset that you could see. A small kitchen, beautiful bathroom, and wet bar rounded the room out. There were so many activities! I was so excited. We attended the hot dog/hamburger lunch one day and it was fun! We also signed up for the tie dye class and we had a ball. I was bummed we couldn't stay for more! Give this place a shot, you won't be disappointed!

I visited Tropic Shores Resort for the first time in 2023, and just recently for the second time in 2024. This Resort is wonderful - from the location to the rooms to the staff. However, there are two incredible staff members that, to me, are the shining light of Tropic Shores Resort. Ruth and Amber who run the activities are an incredibly huge part of the reason I was excited to go back this year and why I am excited and hopeful to visit again next year. They bring so much joy and fun to Tropic Shores Resort with not only the activities they run, but the way they run them! If you visit, I highly recommend participating in at least one activity and getting to know these wonderful ladies!

Everything was great, they are almost completed with the restoration after the hurricane 2 years ago, it is really looking good and the staff was excellent as always.

As a fair review, the outside pool and retaining wall and basement areas were under construction. Amenities have changed due to construction and is at a minimum. Clean and well run. Room was well maintained.
