Love this place. Guard gated so you're safe. Lots of cars getting broken into in Hawaii so we felt really safe here. Beautiful hike. With amazing views. If you come at the right time, there'll be tons of guavas and lumboy (Filipino grapes) ready for picking.
This trail was definitely a good workout. We made it all the way to the swing with our 3 and 5 year old, but we did have to wear them once we reached the end of the pavement as there were some steep drop off. Beautiful view though! I was thankful for the rain because we were dripping sweat by the end!
it’s paved for the the first 1.5 miles. Steep incline and beautiful views. It’s on a military installation so you’ll need an eligible DoD ID for access.
Great trail. You're going uphill for over a mile(paved). If you make it to the swing, just go a little over .25 miles more and you'll def see a much better view. Better to do this hike in the morning because there's a little more shade going uphill. Going through the woods, it was nice to be able to hold onto the trees to step up or down. It can hurt your knees a bit.
Located on Tripler Army Medical Center post lies a peaceful and fairly challenging hike. The mostly uphill 1.25 mile climb is paved with plenty of room for passing any other hikers. Don't be fooled by the pavement, it will be more challenging than expected but the peacefulness, serenity and great views make up for it. You will need a military ID or visitor's pass to get in but it's worth it. The main reason I enjoy it is because there are very few people ever on the trail early in the morning. The entrance is in a housing area. After a few hundred meters of going up the trail you turn left onto a chained off paved trail. Get ready for the hills. If you are an avid runner this is a great place to build your strength, stamina and endurance. Quite possibly the most peaceful hike on Oahu due to low traffic. It's kid friendly too but adult supervision is recommended. Be safe and enjoy.
Beautiful hike but a bit long so make sure you come prepared. I recommend wearing long pants because the vegetation bounces from thick to clear. Some parts of the hike there are ropes to help assist you. I don't recommend going if it's wet or has been raining
This trail has an incline that makes you think it's never going to end and to be honest it really doesn't. It's a great hike to do only takes about 30 minutes at the most. As you can see from my pictures the view is worth it
Steep and kinda boring beginning but past the electric tower, it's beautiful.
This is super cool! Make sure you buy your tickets and reservations in advance. Get there before it opens while it's still dark. This is a hike! This is not for the week need or people with health conditions. You will struggle! Once you get to the to
This was an incredibly beautiful but tough climb. There was a moment I didnât think weâd make it up, but it was worth pushing through! I definitely wouldnât go if it has rained. Even on a dry day this can be a dangerous hike. Couple places you
Great hike, like the other ridge hikes to the east but longer. Took right around 4 hours of moving time, longer with a couple of stops for pictures and to enjoy the views and breeze at the top. Some area with ropes that arenât really necessary when
The Kolowalu Trail is a great option for hikers of all levels. The trail starts from a large parking lot and park, with beautiful views of the entrance. The trail is 4.1 kilometers long, with a mix of gentle and steep slopes. The trail is not technic
Lovely hike, although be prepared for a large crowd; I went on a Monday morning for sunrise and it was packed. Headlamp recommended, but plenty of people used phone flashlights instead. If youâre driving to the trailhead parking lot, make a reserva
This trail is great for hikers who want to get away from the crowds and see some beautiful views! The hike is 5 miles one way. 3 miles on the dirt trail through the valley, and 2 miles of constant incline up the mountain side. I wouldn't recommend on
This was such an exhilarating experience for someone like myself who does not usually hike. It was a good level of challenge, but not frustrating. The end result was a gorgeous waterfall & peace. I would definitely do this again for the end result. M
Ono, soo ono. If you enjoy the taste and feel of each bite in your mouth, this is the place for local, healthy, ono eats. Fresh every single time. This is the first time in my life that I have eaten at one restaurant three (3) times IN THE FIRST WEEK

Shoot was - as expected - amazing. Stunning mastery of technique, patter, and showmanship. Hilarious sense of humour, was great at working the crowd and had a lot of warmth and heart incorporated into his performance, and the story he told throughout
I have been searching and searching for great biscuits and gravy like I used to get back in Texas, and OMG these were so so so so much better than that. Did something different and went with the chicken biscuits and gravy and was happily surprised at
