Trident Inn & Suites, New Orleans - Hotel in New Orleans - 12340 I-10 Service Rd, USA

Ok! My initial review was 3 stars and I'll get to that. I've stayed here at least 3 times so far and each time it was amazing! I literally had no issues. I've recommended this hotel to my sister and friends. No lie. Initially when I arrived there wasn't any coffee in the room which I didn't notice till the next morning. Yes, I did go to the front t desk and received some with no problem. I was also not happy about the pool hours but after speaking with the owner I completely understand the reason why. I still 100% recommended Trident as a great location for rest and relaxation.

This was probably the most disgusting place I have ever stayed at. The minute you walk into the lobby, you’re hit with the most disgusting chemically smell that continues into the elevator and the room. The front desk is surrounded by bullet proof glass. The rooms are disgusting and nothing like what the pictures look like online. There were weird stains on the wall and bed. The floors were disgusting. Everything very outdated. The bathroom was disgusting. It looked like the room was cleaned maybe once a month. There were literal pubes on the bed, cigarette burns on the sheets, and other suspicious stains. The pool was also disgusting and very green. We complained but were refused a refund. Hopefully we get our $50 deposit back. You are better off sleeping in your car. We ended up staying at the Super 8 next door. It was cheaper than the Trident and was way cleaner. This place is not worth it at all.

This hotel is a hidden gem. The lobby was very clean and nicely decorated. The check in staff was extremely nice and helpful. The room we had was immaculate. It was clean and smelled clean. There was a continental breakfast. It included waffles, boiled eggs, pastries, cereal with milk, yogurt coffee and orange juice. It was not full but it was something to get you started for the day. The beds were huge and soft. I had a good night's sleep both days of my stay. The parking is locked which was an excellent perk. The cleaning staff was very polite and helpful everyday of my stay. The hotel is still improving on the upkeep and updating of the hotel so there is still work in progress. However this is a quality hotel to stay at when visiting New Orleans. At its current condition it is always filling up. I would highly recommend this location for your New Orleans stay it's definitely my new go to location.

I am not one to care about how a room looks, but this was one of the worst hotels I have ever been to in my life. The room smells like mold. Smoke detectors constantly beeping all day/night. The shower has a constant water drip that cannot be stopped. Restroom door was super dirty with multiple handprints. Didn’t feel safe taking a shower. Pool was full of swimming bugs and hair. Overall hotel looks very run down in the inside. Purchase at your own risk.

If budget is your goal....perfect for this spot!! The staff was very helpful and the pool was actually clean and open, rare for most places at this price. The breakfast was just enough to get our day going. Thank you for the great anniversary in NOLA!!

Rooms stink weren't cleaned. I changed rooms 3 times after checking in. There was a terrible odor. People smoking in the rooms and it said no smoking. My son has asthma had to give him 4 treatments while there for 2 days. Overall wouldn't recommend to anyone. Even if its affordable the pictures of the rooms are not accurate don't waste your money

Positive: It was convenient to where I needed to be. and the staff was accommodating. I would stay again. Negative: The only thing with the room was that the electrical outlets were not working except one. But they are being fixed I believe a new owner has taken over and is restoring all the quirks.

I want to start off by saying this is the worst mold infested roach infested place I stayed at so far. The sheets had stains, red hair on side of the toilet. Water didn’t get hot. Ac barely blowing. Maybe I got one of their unkept rooms but I was disappointed. I will not recommend this place to anyone. Unless you really need shelter. The only good things about it is the location and price.
