What a great find!! We had the ceviche (habanero hot) and surf and turf bowl both were delicious and full of flavor. Highly recommend. The woman who took our order and prepared our food was so nice. Very clean outside area to eat but you can also sit inside if you want someplace warmer.
ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE!!! Such good food - the plantains especially are out of this world. They also have a lovely little outdoor garden space.
So sad - I really LOVE the flavors at Tres Bros but today I ordered a $16 "daily catch" bowl with Ling Cod and only got the single small piece in the photo - so, $16 for a moderate size plate of rice, beans, plantains and condiments. 2 pieces of fish this size would have been minimum fair, 3 would have been a decent value. Heartbroken. 😢 UPDATE: After the extremely fast and thoughtful owner reply, I've updated to 5 stars based on this and my previous experiences with Tres Bros.
This is exactly what a food truck should be. Great food, friendly service at a price you won't get in a restaurant. Don't be fooled by the simple menu on the side of the truck, ask for details on offerings that include daily specials and more. Highly recommended!

Very delicious! I got a vegetarian bowl and it had so much flavor, I finished the entire thing! 😁 the fried plantains were quite the treat.
This is hands down my favorite food truck in Astoria! The owners smile and energy is so warm and inviting, almost like she’s welcoming you into her home. The carne asada was perfection, and the cocté was so flavorful and left me wanting more. 5/5 will be back.
I ordered the shrimp bowl. This tastes so much better than I thought it would taste like. The shrimp have a slightly spicy kick and everything was cooked and seasoned perfectly. The plantains provide a nice and tasty sweet to end the meal. What I mostly like is that I've never had these flavors before. I'm always looking for something new to try from the boring same old. I can't wait to try more!
