Such a beautiful beach. One of my favorites. I'd say this beach seems better for exploring and less for swimming. So pretty for sunset and if you go at the right time in the evening you can see the tide pools. Beautiful rocky views. Parking on the street and then walk over by the hotel to the stairs.
My visit to Treasure Island Beach was a coastal delight. Here are some quick tips:
- Stunning Scenery: Enjoy beautiful views and sunsets.
- Parking: Arrive early, as the lot fills up. Use local bus.
- Essentials: Bring sunscreen, water, and snacks.
- Pet-Friendly: Dogs are welcome but follow the rules.
- Tide Awareness: Watch for high tide.
- Hiking: Nearby trails like Treasure Island Trail.
- Weekdays: Quieter than weekends for a visit. 🏖️🚗🐕
Pros:
🌊 Clear blue water: The water is clean and transparent, allowing you to see to the bottom on calm days. You can spot various fish and shellfish.
🏞️ Impressive rock formations: Natural rock caves and arches are perfect for photos and exploration. You can enjoy the view from atop rocks or inside caves.
🦀 Rich intertidal zone: Explore marine life like starfish, crabs, sea snails, and more in the intertidal zone. Remember not to disturb them.
🍃 Clean and quiet atmosphere: With few tourists, the beach remains serene and tidy, providing a relaxing environment.
Cons:
🚗 Limited parking space: The small and often full parking lot might require a walk to the beach. Parking fees are high, and it's free only after 7 PM.
🌊 Rough waves: Caution is needed when swimming due to occasional rough waves, especially near rock formations. Stay clear for safety.
🌦️ Unpredictable weather: The weather can vary greatly, from hot and sunny to cloudy and windy. Check the forecast and dress accordingly before your visit.
This has to be my favorite beach for relaxing. SO beautiful and mesmerizing because the water is so turbulent yet so peaceful to watch. BUT the area is NOT for swimming! They have full-time life guards to watch people that stand right at the edge of danger. The water will reach up and grab you and pull you in the ocean!!! Please be extremely mindful of this when going. Very strong currents and moving in all directions.
I learned this 1st hand last year with my son.
The life guard saved my sons life.
Amazing local spot, absolutely loved it and the tide pools are great for the kids/family. Snorkeling is also great here, big seaweed forests in some areas. Make sure to get there early!
It a very nice place 😻 This is a small kind of bay. Where the waves won't bother you much. The sand is clean, fine. The water is relatively warm. I'm like a person who only washes with very hot water, I even took a dip in the ocean. Nearby the bay is even smaller, there is a lifeguard who controls the zone. But I ask you to be careful, because the water is very deep.
Such a beautiful beach with so much to explore & so much room to roam & play. We loved the rocks, caves, & seashells. Perfect for littles!
Was recommended to check this beach out by a buddy. To say I was not disappointed is an understatement. This beach is INCREDIBLE. Beautiful views. Picturesque scenery. Great water and waves. Great sand for walking. Not too crowded. Had an amazing time. Also, area to walk around surrounding the beach with great views too! Parking can be a little sparse but just be patient. Check this beach out! It’s a must!

My go to coffee spot when in the downtown Laguna area.
My standard taste test is an Oat Cappuccino and their Cap hits with a brighter more modern roast and a classic cap ratio of coffee to milk.
Of the coffee shops in the area, this is probably the
Favorite hiking spot except for super foggy days. Short hike but lots of steep spots so you still get pretty good leg workout. And the stunning view up top is priceless!
A short but fun hike from the parking lot, which is pretty big with multiples of parking spots and street parking too. I highly recommend this for an easy trail, stroller friendly too. Dogs allowed. There are several extended trails available if you
It is so worth the hike to the Pirate Tower. Wear water shoes as it was difficult in flip flops. We walked down the stairs at the Montage. It's an easy walk. Mind the tide so you don't get stuck. You can chill in the pool like area when the water is
What a beautiful beach spot! This is our go to beach stop in Laguna Beach every time we come to the area. The kids really enjoy the big waves and it's never too crowded. Also can't beat the spectacular views anywhere else!

Wow! Whoâd a thunk?! The best deal and a fabulous meal in Laguna Beach. Hubby had a burger and fries, cooked and served to perfection. I wallowed in a seafood hot pot. Add a beer and an ice tea and the bill came to $35. The garden atmosphere and th
