Trax is a excellent establishment for gay locals and visitors to get a drink, have an entertaining night, and to create hilarious memories to tell your friends about later. Drinks: There drinks are surprisingly good here! They have a fairly limited selection, but they do cover most of the bases (beer, limited wine, spirits). You can even get a little airplane bottle of wine with a straw if you so choose. Food: My apologies if this review is a little off as the burnt pizza suggestion as an item made me laugh really hard XD. I would only eat the food here if you're very drunk and need it ( I have tried most of the food). Nothing wrong with it Healthwise, just not very high quality and usually a little overcooked; aka your average bar food. If you do choose to eat here I would suggest the chicken tenders, cheese sticks, jalapeño poppers, or the corndog bites if they're available. They also have a lot of bagged merchandise like chips, crackers, and I think popcorn too. Service: The service is hit or miss time-wise but if you go here a few times the staff really do grow on you and mean well so it's easier to forgive the times when they're not 100% speedy. Surprisingly there is very little turnover staff wise in my experience here which is a good sign. The root issue with service is that there isn't much space and there is only one real access point to the bar if you're not sitting at it. This spot also happens to be a high traffic area due to it also being the path that leads to the back patio and the cooking station. Atmosphere: I love the atmosphere here; it's grungy and you absolutely will NOT be judged in any way, and people are always having a good time. If you're uppity, this is certainly not a place you will feel comfortable (I happen to prefer that outcome). They also have a patio out back which is where I usually hang out! It's open air and even though there are people smoking out there I still like it fine. This is where most of the entertainment of the night happens. I will say that this is by far the friendliest gay bar in all of Nashville and that in itself is worth it in our current social climate. This bar never feels cliquish and is a phenomenal place to make new friends and acquaintances. My last piece of advise here is that if you have a phobia of dirty toilets, don't come here when it's super busy. Life happens. XD
I tried to meet friends here who convinced me it was better than the past after smoking was no longer permitted inside. However, the guy at the front door completely stereotyped me and made me feel incredibly unwelcomed 2.5 seconds when I got into the place. Then people started asking what was going on and he played it off as me not wanting to pay a cover to get in. At that point it was 2 AM and I hadn't had a single drink all night so I just agreed with the guy and walked out, because I could see this was not a good place to be. I've had some issues in the past, but I was really caught off guard and I had no idea how to respond. It was really hurtful. People can't help the way they are programed.
Flew into town for Sarah Brightman’s concert at the Ryman and unintentionally came here on the bear 🐻 club’s long John Toys for Tots Christmas party! It was such a friendly, unpretentious, fun place! After 2 for 1 happy hour, mingled with some handsome bears on the back patio and met some most gracious ladies who knew how to party 🎊 Then it became quite a festive crowd! Terrific music & definitely the best bar of the entire trip. This pic was taken when I returned to my Broadway hotel though I don’t remember taking it. 🥳
I haven't been here before but a customer told me to give it a bad rating. For fairness I'm giving a three start. Plus I'm not even gay but he was really upset about the service and atmosphere. He said he was treated so bad. He gave me 20$ to leave a bad review so in honor of Craig. Here's your 2 stars.

Trax is by far my favorite bar. It’s not pretentious like some of the others. Super stiff drinks, amazing happy hour, huge outdoor deck/patio with tons of plants. Entire staff is friendly and personable. Awesome owner. Pool table, darts. I don’t really care to spend my money/time anywhere else.
I dropped in for 2 classes while in town and I loved it. When I arrived I was welcomed and given the basic rundown so I didn't have to guess where anything was. The class was well coached, the people were friendly and encouraging even for an old goat

I started taking classes at Hola after I moved to Nashville in 2021 and have never looked back. The front desk staff are the most wonderful peopleâthey truly make an effort to know your name and your practice. The teachers are incredibly skilled. C
