Travelodge by Wyndham Venice - Hotel in Venice - 1710 S Tamiami Trail, USA

The rooms are basic but the service is excellent and the rooms are extremely clean. The cleaning crew does an incredible job and are very helpful. Special thanks to Juan Carlos. He was extremely friendly and helpful. This hotel is perfect for someone looking for a great location but not wanting to overpay for the location.

We arrived and paid for 3 days in advance, got into our room which smelled of cigarettes and dirt. Sat on the bed because there wasn't even a chair to sit in. It only took a half hour before we were killing roaches, disgusting. They moved us to another room and we slept with the lights on all night because that room not only had roaches as well. There was a sign on the desk that said non-smoking room yet there were cigarette butts on the floor in the closet? The parking lot was full of cigarette butts all the way up the stairs to our room as well as crack pipes, do not stay here! I have already contacted Wyndham and they are giving us 2 nights at a 3 star or above property of our choice as the staff would not credit us the 2 days we had paid for in advance.

Deserves 0 stars. Worst motel in America. Health code violations, safety hazards, and rude, greedy, entitled manager. They should pay YOU to even want to step foot in there. Enjoy the parasites. Besides everything mentioned in all the other reviews (which are all true). Video is from bathroom sink that was clogged and didnt even drain by the time we checked out.

Our booking was canceled by receptionist because we had DIABETIC ALERT SERVICE DOG. Explanation was made that manager doesn't like any kind of dogs no matter if it's a service dog or not and if he find out that there's a dog on the property he will kick you out even in the middle of the night and you will lose your money because you will not get any refund!!! I'm sure that the manager and all the personnel of the hotel must be educated about the ADA Federal Law!

Stayed in room 110. The tub/shower could not be used as the water came out scalding hot. Both husband and I tried several times to adjust water temperature. The escutheon faucet plate was loose from the wall. Tile floors were dirty turning bottom of feet filthy. Walls were very marked up and in desperate need of painting. About 9 pm this was reported to front desk. In the morning we spoke to manager? owner? (grey haired guy) requesting partial refund. He said since we slept there, no refund. When I asked if he wanted to risk a very poor review by not giving us a partial refund he said he didn't care as he gets bad reviews all the time! For someone in the hospitality business, he should care. I wrote to Wyndham since their brand is associated and they just had the hotel employee call me which did not resolve anything,

Positive: Convenient location but loud road of traffic. Staff quick To give extra supplies like pillows requetsed. Negative: Bathroom was filthy! The dirt behind door was disgusting Mirror in room hanging off walk. Beds not made, just new supplies thrown on bed. Negative: ""

Positive: Nothing Negative: Walked around back to the pool area. Pool was empty and 2 tweakers sitting there smoking cigs and drinking beer. 10 minutes it turned into a fight with him getting in the tweakmobile and taking off. Was concerned about being broken into.

Alone, was only there one night for around $95, checking in around 2pm, the bathtub caulking was the only thing i saw with black mold, the AC was on full blast the whole time, 61 degrees, yet the room didn't start getting somewhat cool until like 3am, otherwise, it seemed to be up to code.
