Travelodge by Wyndham Savannah Area/Richmond Hill - Hotel in Richmond Hill - 4120 US-17, USA

We were just passing through. We read reviews and decided to stay here, Some sketchy people hanging around and staying there. Breakfast was stale cereal and a waffle maker with a long wait. Pool looked ok, but we didn't use it because of the sketchy people around. It served it's purpose to lay our heads down for the night. It could use a deep clean and some updates.

We were traveling from key West to Pennsylvania. Stopped here on a whim for some rest. It was horrible. Four of us and two towels, no trash cans in the room, it was to be a non smoking room it smelled so bad of smoke. We found an ashtray under the bed full of butts. (Housekeeping didn't fine this??) Pillows didn't have cases. We slept on top of the bedding. It was nasty. One outlet in the whole room. We never complain but this one deserves a review for future guests.

Dirty bathroom and the water pressure in the shower was a situation I do NOT want to even think about anymore. Saw multiple roaches in our 2 night stay. But you get what you pay for

I read some of the really nasty reviews of this place, and I just don't get it. I really think some of them come from local competitors with an ax to grind. For one night of good sleep in a convenient, clean, quiet and safe hotel, this place works just fine. THE ROOM WAS CLEAN. There were no stains, no roaches, no noxious smells, and certainly no cockroaches. The bed and pillows were great and I slept like a rock. Just a stones throw from I-95, yet remarkably quiet. No loiterers out front. We felt perfectly safe. The breakfast was OK, nothing great, but what would someone expect for the low price? For a one nighter on the road, I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Asked for a non-smoking room and still smelled like smoke with burn holes in the blankets. The room wasn't fully clean and most things were broken. In the morning we could smell weed and our keycard stopped working so we got locked out. Beds were stiff and management was uncooperative given all the problems, needless to say we left after the first night without anything because it was so bad. Don't come here unless it's a last resort.

Positive: I definitely like the location because of so many places around the area that is walking distance!! Negative: I couldn?t connect my firestick because the hdmi port were kinda so, my daughter and I had to watch regular tv for our movie night! #226

We came with no bites and marks and left with red marks and bits all over our back and legs. I understand that things can happen, we travel often, but this is unacceptable and should not happen especially when the price was as much as any other hotels in the area. We will not return and if you decide for whatever reason to stay here you might want to check the beds, sheets, mattress and any other area and spray it down.

Positive: Cost less to stay there than to camp at the racetrack! Had never stayed at Travel Lodge before. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Good value. Negative: No elevator. Negative: ""
