Oh My, what a place, not a warm welcome, only interested in getting your $100 deposit. Pretty shabby place, not really cheap considering what you get, no net curtains to block out people looking straight into your room, if your at st level. Very confusing shower taps, the TV may be the best thing to be honest. The area is ok, there is a large shop two mins away to buy cold drinks ect. DONT FORGET YOUR $100 DOLLAR DEPOSIT.
My first response is I was pleasantly surprised. I don't leave reviews often unless I feel it is deserving of my time. At first glance, I was not impressed with the "look" of the hotel and when I entered the lobby there was nothing fancy about it, however, the service and hospitality was very welcoming. We traveled in from CT and arrived hours before check-in but had no issues checking in immediately and that was very much appreciated. The room was very clean, there was a mini fridge and a microwave (which btw I have never seen a microwave at any other hotel I have stayed at. I thought that was great for someone who may want to warm up some leftovers. The area has everything you need. There is a market with a deli one block down that makes great food. The beds were clean and comfy also. I would stay here again. Nothing fancy but very clean, cozy and accommodating, everything you need is there, and that for me, that is most important! Thank you to the staff @ Travelodge||P.S. We realized our beds were made and garbage taken out and linens replaced with clean ones when we got back to the room, which was a very nice gesture but a little surprising, because we were not expecting that and our personal items were out in the open. Not that anyone would steal anything but we would have preferred to know in advance, other than that, everything was left as is.||
I had to rebook due to bad experience with another hotel site last minute. Ozone answered my prayers with great rate and availability for the Memorial Weekend. I called one location and they were able to search availability and hold the reservation. Room was spacious and bathroom well kept. Central location for food and snacks as needed. I would return for another family trip here. The front desk staff and housekeeping were easy to talk to and eager to help. Thank you for making it feel as close to home as possible.
Traveled to NYC for a long awaited visit due to covid travel restrictions. Travelodge had all the amenities I needed, was priced right, and location was perfect to where I was visiting. NOTE: this hotel is NO longer a homeless shelter as previous reviews have indicated. It was clean, neat, very friendly staff, and had free parking in back of the hotel and on the street in front of the hotel. It is one block away from the main road (Cross Bay Blvd), easy to get to everything, and walkable if don't want to drive. I can't say enough about the courtesy and professionalism extended to guests, and will definitely return to this hotel in the future.
It's okay to stay for one night, there was an unusual odor, both on the halls and rooms.
Checking-in and checkout were easy.
There are enough storage areas, microwave and fridge in the room, which could be ideal for an inexpensive longer term stays.
Big mirror wasn't secured well, it almost fell twice by a little unintended nudge.
Don't expect too much from breakfast, some items were missing out, such as no drinks, except coffee. When I was breaking the muffin apart, it crumbled into pieces, as if it was dried out because sitting out too long.
Their coffee machine was out of order, probably for a while, because when the employee started her shift, first thing she checked was the filters for the small coffee makers, such routine behavior takes time to settle.
Dirty. First room we were given stunk like cigarettes, the window was wide open when we went in and there were ashes all over the windowsill. The receptionist quickly got us into another room; however the other room had legit blood splatter all on the ceiling above the bed. While we were sitting there in our phones looking for other hotels, a roach scattered across the tv stand. Had to put a dispute in with my bank because they are still charging me one of the 2 nights booked for checking in. Manager was supposed to review and call me yesterday, never heard from them. Called today, manager still not in.
We stayed here as a quick stop over before flying out again from JFK airport. It was great for one night, a typical short stay, a little grotty but perfect location as its quiet and there is a burger king/ convenience store opposite.||Can't complain really
Amazing place, staff is super friendly, parking in the back or in front of the hotel, never had to wait or look for parking, room is amazingly clean, the floor is not rug but actual ceramic very clean.
5 mins walk to subway A line, 10 mins from JFK, lots of food around. Definitely recommend!
