Travelodge by Wyndham Manhasset - Hotel in Manhasset - 1177 Northern Blvd, USA

Very nasty rude customer service. Bald guy with glasses in front does not like his job and looks at customers with a mean look. He thinks you are stupid and he is the know it all. Unnecessary rudeness to customers that are experiencing their hotel for the first time. You ask a question because on the Wyndham app it says you are paying in full once you book. When you get there they want you to pay again and it is made clear that the first charge for the room is just an authorization hold, not a payment after a lot of back and forth. Room door is left open when you check in??? I got to my room and it was wide open. They get mad at you because their toilet does not work! Online it says you have hot tub you do not you have to book a different room. Bed is clean, has fridge, nice tv and hand cloths. If you are staying one night you cannot get a fresh set of towels and hand cloths. Shower head looks like it hasn’t been cleaned in a decade. I do not have any photos but I have never experienced this at any hotel do not go.

Regarding my recent stay at the Travelodge by Wyndham in Manhasset, NY. My experience was far below the standard I have come to expect from Wyndham hotels.||||Firstly, despite multiple attempts to inform the hotel of my late check-in, I was placed on hold each time for an extended period. On one occasion, the call was not properly placed on hold, and I was left listening to the staff engaging in personal conversations rather than assisting me.||||Upon arrival, the check-in process was poorly handled. My check-in was interrupted, and the staff member assisting me turned their attention to another guest, leaving my check-in incomplete until they were finished.||||The condition of the room was also unacceptable. There were numerous flies in both the bedroom and the bathroom, and the single pillow provided was entirely flat. I have photographic evidence of these issues, which I am prepared to submit upon request.||||Additionally, when I requested extra towels from the front desk, the response was less than courteous. The staff member questioned why I needed additional towels when there were already two in the room, which I found inappropriate and unprofessional.

Mr. Patel made our stay incredibly comfortable, frequently checking in to ensure everything was to our liking. The room was clean, spacious, and well-maintained. The hotel’s location was ideal, allowing us to avoid most of the traffic in NYC. Overall, it was a great experience, and the staff were very nice.

Positive: Housekeeping staff was wonderful. I was having trouble walking and they were very accommodating. The inside of the room was good and cleanliness inside was very good. Price was reasonable for a desirable area. Negative: Queen bed rooms have long outside distance to walk and have to walk through unpleasant tunnel with hot air from air conditioners blowing at you. No elevator. Check in staff was only adequate not really friendly.

The man at the front desk was unwelcoming, to put it mildly. Very unfriendly. Did not show up to the front desk until promptly 3:00pm for check in. Despite there being another person trying to receive help for a room issue. There was no toilet paper holder in the bathroom. Clean room, though. everything else was not great.

Not clean at all. Sheets were stained and had multiple cigarette burns on them. Mosquito and roach was literally there waiting to greet us when we came in. Also did not feel safe here at all. We left to stay at a family members house instead. Do not waste your money here.

Shirtless men drinking and smoking hanging out by the staircases . They were guests too. My room was not cleaned properly-toilet paper in the toilet, wrapper on the rug, shirt behind a nightstand, cigarette burns in the decorative bed cover. Strong cigarette smoke odor in my nonsmoking room.

The area is quiet and cozy. However, LIRR instructions must be provided (to/from Manhasset/Grand Central) for easy access of guests not travelling by car. Collection trash bins, however, must be away from the door of any room to maintain fresh air and clean surroundings.
