Travelodge by Wyndham Lincoln Near White Mountain - Featured Reviews (161)
It is an older style hotel but very nice. We got a bigger suite with a Jacuzzi tub and it was super nice! Huge room. Enormous bathroom, Jacuzzi tub, full stand-up shower, private bathroom. Regular amenities like ac, mini fridge, microwave, vending/ice machine in the hallway. There's a decent size pool.
No way to explain it other than saying it literally looks like a money laundering scheme. STAFF: The service is horrible, very rude and sketchy. I did not feel safe with the staff/family managing the place. The staff stare at you like you’re an alien, and they refused to even give us towels. They said that WE need to go downstairs to get the towels ourselves…well then why are we paying for included [room] service? Overall HORRIBLE people. Staff was resistant to even give us extra soaps or towels…very weird. ROOM: Moderately maintained. The bathroom is old, wood is chipping away, and the toilet does not work. Called for service and they did not come. The AC is loaded with dust and grime. Holes in the towels, stains on the sheets, etc. disgusting. SAFETY: The locks and hinges on the doors have been tampered with. You could easily tell that something is not right with that, especially considering that other people have mentioned it in other reviews. After closing (locking) the door, you can still pull or push it far enough to jam a crowbar or easily in. Some of the doors look like they have damage marks from previous signs of someone forcefully trying to enter a room. LOCATION: It is away from literally all the good attractions, places to see, restaurants, stores, etc. It’s in the middle of pretty much nowhere, and there are a lot of shady people that hang out by this place. Also, there is NO BREAKFAST OR LUNCH OR ANY INCLUDED MEALS. All restaurants and food spots are very far btw. My family and I made our own breakfast with our own food that we brought with us. If we didn’t bring anything we would have went hungry for a while before we found any places to eat. OVERALL: Stay at the Hilton, or some cheap Inn. Roll the dice and go somewhere else. BUT, if you don’t want to spend a lot of money, and you just need a cheap place to lay your head at night, go for it, but it certainly would not be my first or second or third choice EVER again.
Staying here was a very good decision after some hard hiking in the Whites. We stayed a second night due to rain and how pleasant the place was. We had two nights at the end of June 2024. GREAT: - New beds as of late July 2024! We slept very well. - It was clean and everything worked well. - Lots of new paint -- cosmetics were far from perfect (I think they are prepping for their winter season), but it is totally nice for the price/location. - The shower was great, but then being able to treat your legs to a pool and hot tub (after days of hard hiking) was a dream. These are in a separate building across the parking lot. - The room had a great minifridge (with freezer), microwave, and little coffeemaker. We brought in food from the Price Chopper in Lincoln and had plenty of fridge/freezer storage. -AC was a bit loud, but it worked really well. BAD: Nothing was bad. Sure, it wasn't new and it had the appearance of being family-run and maintained, but they were doing a good job and cared about the property. If you need something fancy, go elsewhere. SUMMARY: If you have reasonable expectations and want a well-equipped comfortable place with a great pool/hottub, then this is an easy choice! I would definitely go back. Try to book directly with the hotel. They should give you the lowest online rate if you ask.
Super friendly family operated Hotel. Budget friendly & very reasonable place to stay. A.C worked so well in the room during the 85 degree humid days in July 2024, i needed to wear layers to keep warm. . No issues checking in or out. Closely located to stores and shops. Minutes from Whale's Tale water park. No issues with neighbors in other rooms. Pool was great. Hot tub was heavenly. Spacious room. Wifi included. Will definitely stay here again. Had some difficulty with the key card not registering properly to open room door. Took myltiple tries to get it too work. Other than that .... Perfect weekend getaway. 💐😊 Thank you very much. Have a great evening. Kim Paquette
After reading some other reviews, I wanted to give my take. This was the least expensive option on a Sunday night, $69, with a pool. The kids loved the pool and built in hot tub. It is more like a motel with single rooms opening to the outside. It was clean and smelled fresh, no stains. For the price it was as expected. If you want perfect paint and furnishings don’t stay here, pay twice the price for a better experience.
Positive: Pool and beds Negative: Run down and outdated and poorly painted. We had ants in our bathroom. I thought they had a hot tub but just jets that created bubbles.
- Decent place, could use refreshing - I stayed here earlier this month and was satisfied overall. The property is pleasant enough, and in a beautiful location. The room was adequate but could use redecorating, a better chair to sit in, and better lighting. The carpet needed shampooing and the room had a slightly dank odor (not terrible but not great). Otherwise the experience was good, and I would stay again. Took a chance on this hotel and it paid off nicely the owners were polite and respectful the hotel was very clean and quiet and the room we had was clean and quiet I think the only thing I would recommend is for coffee cream instead of milk for coffee and put K cup makers in the rooms past that would consider staying here again
This is a stunning lake that has multiple trails associated with this area. The weather can be unpredictable, so wear the appropriate footwear and pack warm clothes!
Alpine Adventures is definitely a MUST DO when visiting the White Mountain area. The zip lines are thrilling and offer the chance to do something out of the ordinary and bring some excitement to your life. It's not quite as daring as skydiving (which
Update: Oct â23 Went back during foliage season. Gets crowded with visitors and overflow parking is beside the road(hazard especially from a sharp curve) view for me is not as beautiful as those with the unofficial pullovers. Aug â23 Just at the
