Travelodge by Wyndham Lake George NY - Hotel in Lake George - 2011 US-9, USA

Motel was under renovation, we had 5 rooms total, 3 in the upstairs king rooms and had the whole floor to ourselves. We also had 2 rooms downstairs right by the pool per our request. They were very accommodating when we asked for a room by the pool. Extra charges were made to my card and was promptly refunded. The pool was beautiful , up-kept , clean and located right in front with an amazing view. There is no continental breakfast but there is coffee in the office around 9am. The owner gave me his number and was prompt when we needed assistance. However, there was no room service or daily restock of towels or toilet paper. The beds had only top sheets, no fitted sheet so bring your own. I reserved a crib over the phone but when we got there was informed they did not have them as the website stated, we ended up finding a rental company which delivered and picked up the crib. The hotel owner did bring a microwave to our room per our request. It was quiet , we had the whole motel it seemed to ourselves minus the workers who were working diligently every day on renovating room. Bathroom was clean, toilet and shower worked fine. The owner asked us to check each room to make sure it was in good condition and AC was working . All and all we had a great time and stay. For the price it was not bad at all.

It’s a $65 room….Stayed in 254. View of the lake was decent, sheets clean, TV, AC, fridge, hot water and toilet all worked well. Door locked and there was fair lighting to park over in the middle of the lot at night. We came at 3pm for check in, changed for a wedding and slept 11pm to 6am. It’s not a hotel I’d want to hang out in all day but it’s plenty functional for event prep and sleeping. Really just needs the lawn/ grounds better maintained and more parking lot lighting.

Top of the mountain, views are spectacular! If you’re looking for luxury this isn’t it. This is a great place close to lake George where you can rest your head with fresh air of the mountains outside of your door and a pool to cool down in. Staff lived on premise so of course they were responsive but this is like staying in a cabin so don’t expect the Marriott.

The property is nothing like they show in the pics. They are under construction and all the garbage is outside the building. They combined two hotels Travelodge and cloud 9 . Which one is more run down than the other. The property is run down they don’t even mow the lawn. We reserved 3 rooms in Travelodge and they tried to put us in cloud 9 on a second floor with all the garbage in the way of the entrance. We argued with them for 2 hours before they gave us rooms on the other side which was Travelodge. First they said they didn’t have extra rooms and after 2 hours they finally said they would fit us in. I don’t understand why they didn’t give us the rooms in the first place. We were hungry and tired of driving 41/2 hours. We were very upset. Aside from that they kept looking at us like if we were going to do something to the property. And the last day as soon as we gave in the keys one of them ran to look in the rooms, like if we were going to vandalize them or something. Even though the furniture is really really old you can’t even touch it it’ll break!!! Customer service was absolutely terrible!!! Owner claims there was a language barrier!!! Sorry not our fault!!! People have complained about this before. if you go on Expedia you will read similar complaints!!

Stayed in room 346 from at the end of July. The staff went above and beyond for us. They were so friendly and very respectful. No matter what we needed they found a way to get it ir help get it. Thank you all for the great stay! And great pool! And clean rooms !

It seems at one time to have been a very nice place. Unfortunately it was not fully maintained. The staff was very nice, and hopefully will one day be properly renovated. Our stay was still pleasant, and the price was good.

Positive: Leaving Negative: No wash cloths, spilled soda can under bed, AC only had cool air, not cold. Cigarette butts all over the walk and steps leading to room. Website didn?t mention a $30 fee for a pet. Room smelled of mildew. Bet sheets didn?t fit bed. Tv remote didn?t work

Positive: Room freshly painted, simple and clean. AC worked great, nice view of Lake George fireworks Thursday night. Excellent kabob restaurant in adjacent property Pool gorgeous! Negative: Management ignored entitled behavior at the pool Playing loud music, drinking beer in GLASS bottles, and kicking a soccer ball inside pool area when there's a large empty parking lot. Family with 4 kids running and barking dog. One kid got injured.
