Travelodge by Wyndham Chicago - South Holland - Hotel in South Holland - 17301A Halsted St, USA

First off I would like to say I do a lot of traveling and I always rate my rooms experience. This was a quick decision last minute choice upon arrival. The front desk representative was not there as they was there for about 20 minutes or so when she finally arrived. She was very nice very respectful. I must say that she only been there for three weeks I spoke with another guest there that I believe in living there she stated is motel room only give you one roll of tissue per day as she has herself some kids there to the motel room living. They have three properties all three properties or side-by-side at this location, the furniture is very worn down. Need to be the ceilings. The paint on the heater the walls. The doors are in very bad shape. The AC filters have not been changed or cleaned. It is very filthy. Upon arrival I was shown three different rooms. The last room I was shown was still in bad condition. They need to update their furniture. They need to do remodeling in the facilities and update this facility. It is a shame to see people are living there I understand poverty, but the conditions this motel room is in is not For someone to live there on a regular basis let alone to stay one night between 12 AM and 3 AM in the morning there’s people fighting out there. Polices are called. A lot of people are outside watching the scene. Beware this facility look elsewhere. Have the room shown to you before you pay for the room. All I can say I am very grateful thank God I did not get beat up by any bedbugs, the shower curtains needs to be changed. It’s a mess. Good luck to the people who chooses this place again nice friendly staff.

I stayed in many hotels in the past. This time I choose to stay in a motel to have a different experience. I wasn’t disappointed so much because my expectation wasn’t the same as you get from the regular hotel. Thanks and good job!

Overall, my state was uneventful the bed was OK firm and comfortable. The sheets were clean although itchy and stiff, they need to add an additional shear curtain so that you can let light in without people peering into your room in the daytime. Additionally, they can save money by just having a soap dispensers on the walls in the shower room. Free Wifi. Overall, my stay was fine will book again when in the area.

They failed to mention that there was no water with check-in. The best thing is that it’s affordable, but you can’t take a shower or use the sink. You have to buy water. You can’t get ice after 10 PM. overall, it’s a good location, but needs improvement

Run down hotel with dirty rooms. The room smelled of cigarettes and dampness. I lifted the bed cover and found dirty sheets with hair on it. There were definitely bed begs in the room. I asked to change the room and there was no availability so I checked out within an hour of checking in. I was told that a refund will be provided but it has been 5 days and there has been no refund. WiFi didn't work The ceiling lights didn't work.

Found a cockroach in the bathtub!!! Called the Wyndham number to book a new room somewhere else and to get a refund. Was told that wouldn't be a problem to just go to the front desk. I went up to the desk and was told I had to wait for a manager because it took me longer than 15 minutes. I emailed the manager and never heard back. I called yesterday morning and still haven't gotten a refund. Extremely dirty rooms.

The hotel is old and past due for an upgrade. The room was fair, and water pressure was weak. But the most disturbing thing about the place was deciding to stay another night. I originally booked one night and decided to stay another night. On my way down to the front desk I was met by the receptionist who told me that I had booked a queen room instead of the king room I had. I was told I would have to check out and check in again at 3. I asked why couldn't I just pay the difference which she agreed to. But first, she would have to inspect the room. I asked why told that it was to make sure I wasn't a hoarder. The only I kept the room was if I agreed to the inspection. Not wanting to spend the afternoon in my car, I agreed. I have a rice cooker and was told that I shouldn't be cooking in the room. I argued that I saw nothing saying that I couldn't and that she should post something in the lobby stating this. Correct me if I'm wrong, but if I'm still renting the room you inspecting it is an invasion of my privacy? No I would not ever stay here again and unless you have issues I wouldn't recommend this place.

Great service. Rooms are very nice and comfortable. Reasonable pricing. Great service and customer service. Great atmosphere always clean to their best. Had no problems with my stay. Will recommend to family and friends If needed and wanted. Accommodations are always met and token care of. No complaints if you ask me. Business is running nice.
