Travelodge by Wyndham Calhoun South I-75 - Featured Reviews (67)
So I think the service is really great here as they accommodated what I was wanting to do and getting in early. Anything I needed they helped me out with. The only downside to this location is that the rooms are kind of claustrophobic and small in my opinion. Some seem to be in need to repairs or upgrades. I recommended if you just needed a place to relax.
Room apart from the beds (basically shrink wrapped in plastic). Good shower. No one was on the desk at 8:30 for breakfast and lobby was locked. Finally the guy came back around 8:45 and it was bunt coffee, powdered milk, and old fruit.
It’s fine as a cheap stop close to I-75, but you can probably do better even in the budget price range.
This place is disgusting. They also don't honor what they advertise for on apps. They'll charge you online but the hotel won't hold a booking so you'll get charged twice. Room was not clean. No ice and fridge had not been cleaned and had some slime in the bottom. Spend your money anywhere else.
The rooms are clean and well-maintained, with excellent service provided by the staff.
Room was small but clean. Everyone very friendly. Forget breakfast. Waffle House across the street. Prices for the Travelodge very reasonable.
You get what you pay for and this place is disgusting! Heed the reviews! I wish I took photos but I immediately started cleaning the room. I'm glad I had a can of Lysol cleaner with me that I keep in my car. Upon entrance a house roach scurried across the floor. The room stinks terrible. The tub had pubic hair all in it that my husband washed out. There were sticky cup rings on the bedside table/cubby hole. The upholstery chair in the corner has stains. I would not recommend walking barefooted. It's easy to say that the room was not cleaned between guests except the bed linens and trash bags. Oh, and the bed frame is about broken. The bed is very loose. One swift shove to the left or right and the frame will snap. The hotel has been repainted and there's paint splatters on everything in the room including a lot of dust. My cleaning rag was black when I got done with that room. It still didn't get rid of the smell though. There is something in the air here as well. I can't stop coughing. I did a thorough examination of the mattress itself and luckily I didn't find any bed bugs. Wyndham, Wyndham franchise, or private owner should be ashamed that they don't take pride in their business! Never again!
Day two update: I'm glad this is my last night here. The smell in this room is horrid. The odor is literally a mix of cigarettes, sweaty body odor, and butt crack.
Cons: (read above)
Pros:
*I haven't seen anymore roaches.
*The air conditioner works very well in keeping the room cool.
*The shower has great water pressure.
*Budget friendly
*DirecTV Cable
*Free Wifi
*The mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker, iron, hair dryer, tv, and alarm clock all work well.
*Front office staff is friendly
Note: These rooms do not have a phone to call for room service. You have to go to the front office. A few rooms down from the office there is a room for cleaning your laundry and to get ice. I did not use this amenity so I don't know how many or how much the washers and dryers are.
The service here is great. Staff is really helpful. Safe environment. Never any issues.
Had a room in what appeared to be an older hotel not a part of the two new construction buildings. Don't ask for much when traveling. Just a clean room and bed for a few hours sleep. This failed. First room I was given had a terrible odor. The mattress seemed very used and soft. Second room the bed was better and no odor but just didn't feel clean. Front desk person was nice to let me move. Not sure if the new buildings provide a better experience.
This was a lovely hotel to stay at. Clean, great choices for breakfast, and friendly staff all around. Calhoun is also a quiet, small area, as someone who is from Florida, it was a nice change. Would stay here again in the future.
We stopped here on our way to TN! December 12th. My husband had made a reservation on Travelocity and made it for the wrong day! So we called and asked if they could honor it for the night as we were almost there! The lady who answered said No, I wo

Absolutely loved visiting. Staff was super knowledgeable. Restrooms available and a vending machine for drinks. Pets are allowed as long as leashes but NOT allowed inside buildings. Beautiful area. Also as a side note yearly passes are available (for
We stopped on our way to Elijay to get some tacos.
They make great tacos, authentic Mexican flavor and big portions.
Highly recommend if you are in town.
I stopped here for lunch on the way to Chattanooga. I always like mom n pop places and Yellow Jacket did not disappoint! The servers are kind, attentive, and friendly, and knew all of the locals who came in by name! The restaurant was clean.
