Travelodge by Wyndham Brea - Hotel in Brea - 805 S Brea Blvd, USA

When I first called to book the room, the staff pretended to be at another location when I showed up they didn’t want to show me the room before I paid. I just wanted to make sure everything was working. It turns out that the refrigerator wasn’t working in this room. The microwave wasn’t working and it was stained with food. The pillows were uncomfortable, so I asked the manager to switch them out and he told me to talk to the maid. I told him that’s not my job when I finally checked out. I’m now still waiting for my deposit and it’s been three days. Need to call back to confirm that they Processed my deposit.

We travel to California about 3 times a year. We always stay here in Brea Great location . The town is like a Village type area plenty of Restaurants and near Vacation hot spots. This Motel is Great Clean Safe and Staff Friendly very Economical. Highly Recommend.

I've stayed here on numerous occasions because it's a solid place, check-in is smooth, the room is adequate for the price with a fridge and microwave. Solid t.v. with many channels. The manager is nice guy that's why I am writing this happy travels!

The beds were super uncomfortable. The bathroom fan was loud as hell. Pillows were of those that I used in the 1980s. This guy charged me 20 dollars for using a wash cloth to wipe my mouth from a TV dinner. In addition, he accused my fisnce and I of vomiting on the bed in which we never did. Charged some of my security deposit in which I still haven't got back yet. SMH. Save yourself the headache.

I wasn't sure what to expect after reading some of these reviews. But, I arrived and had no trouble finding parking. I was warmly greeted by the man at the front desk who completed the check-in process quickly. My room is basic, but CLEAN! This appears to be a safe location. If I could change one thing, it would be the bed - this is the hardest mattress I've ever slept on. But, it's clean, I feel safe, and the room was reasonably priced, so I really can't complain. 😀

The check-in experience was not ideal, the guy at the front said our reservation was canceled because the card was declined, we arrived at 9 PM and was going to use a different card when we checked in but they thought it was a good idea to try and check us in at 3 o'clock when we were not even there. He did end up giving us the same rate so it worked out anyways. The rooms were actually very nice, they do have a microwave and a mini fridge. the only gripe I have is the bed was as hard as laying on cement. No good. Even though the rooms were nice, the check-in experience and the bed will make us not return to this location.

TL;DR nice staff, clean though aged rooms, decent bang for your buck. I booked with miles through an airline. Some points: - Bring your own toiletries. No toothpaste, and not a lot else is provided. The soap bars are small and brittle. - If you're in, keep the deadbolt on. Staff will attempt to enter your room with little to no warning (not with bad intentions, just unexpected). Overall had a good experience, but reading the other reviews, we'll see about the $100 deposit and how long that takes to be refunded.

TOTAL DECEPTION! Advertise Breakfast --- there wasn't any! No hot water in the shower, the single dial faucet had Cold Water where the Hot Water sign said and warm water on the Hot! Hey maintenance, FIX THAT! Had to have the front desk guy come to my room to turn on the A/C! Check-in took 12 minutes because the guy was on the phone trying to get Netflix instead of concentrating on a paying customer! Then the office gave me the uncomfortable feeling I stepped into a Buddhist Temple/Shrine! WHY!? NO ICE MACHINE . . . really!? In California heat!? How can that happen? So I go to the soda machine which accepts my money, but every selection says "Sold Out!" Then guess what happens when I push coin return . . . Yep, you already know! Upon check-out, the guys said to get him when it happened --- it was 10 at night! If you stay here, good luck, because you've been warned! In parting, there was one good thing: the TV and the channel selection! Otherwise, this stay was HORRENDOUS!
