Travelodge by Wyndham Avenel Woodbridge - Hotel in Avenel - 969 US-1, USA

This place was not a very great place to come, but we needed somewhere to rest our head real quick for the night the dressers, the nightstands all of that is all falling apart. Refrigerator was frozen over, I don’t trust it to store or heat up food. microwave was not the best and then they had mirrors overhead and the top mirror didn’t even look like it was cleaned, so the smell weed that comes through the doors down the hallway smell stench it’s a horrible place . The front service desk not the nicest. $140 for this? This place has really gone down hill.

First the picture on Tripadvisor looks nothing like the hotel! I would stay here again but I would not recommend for someone who likes everything perfect or close to it. NO bedbugs! Bed was decent but not amazing, and my back was fine when I woke up, plumbing worked as it should, so did TV & fridge. I felt safe as well. These are the things are very important to me as someone who travels a lot and stays at relatively inexpensive hotels. The floors in the room were tile (yeah), the furniture was in rough shape. The room did not smell of smoke, but the hallways did, as expected in a hotel that allows smokers. The ac from room above was leaking into my window so I put a bucket and towel under it. This was an annoyance, but it didn't affect my two-day stay. I got the feeling there were families living full time in this hotel, but that is a guess, and I was only there for two days. I would recommend the cleaners vacuum behind the furniture and along all baseboards it was kind of gross. Lastly the smoke detector was not present and needs to be replaced!

Used to be nice for these types of places in 2004 . Since then that area knocked down so many motels it's gone to hell . They used to be a place that would just go stay if I didn't want to stay at my parents house when visiting or something like that and it was decent and priced well or even if I wanted to have a nice day with my boyfriend but at age 22 or 23 your standards are meh . I stayed there a few years ago n a very different vibe. Don't bring your special lady here lol . DEF DONT BRING THE KIDS even if there is a flood at your house. The lobby smells . No pics bc why ? Lol

The hotel had roaches crawling through out the room. I only noticed them when I was quiet like when I’d wake up I’d see them scatter around or when I’d turn the lights on they’d run. Besides that the sheets had stains but I’m not sure if they were dirty or just because of the white color. The hotel also had long term residents that probably brought the roaches that had kids that would run screaming through the halls at all hours and i was in my car which is tinted when one started banging on it with a a ball i then opened the door and he jumped back shocked seeing me and then tried to run but I told his mom about it and she laughed and said “he’s such a badass” like can you stop being ghetto & raise ur kid please…regardless I only needed a place for two nights & it served it’s purpose. the rate isn’t that great I paid like $100 plus tax a night so if you want a way better room with modern cooling & cleanliness I’d recommend extended stay by Raritan for $89 plus tax. Or just pay $50 more and get a holiday In. This place really ruins the Wyndham name

This hotel is different. You can't call out. If you have to order food, you must have a cell. If you need items like wash cloths, you better bring your own. Some of the rooms are partially fixed. The hotel is ghetto. Customer service iis strict. This hotel has rules you have to go by. Just stay to yourself and your good

This ROACH 🪳INFESTED ! Place needs to be shut down its was disgusting ! The front desk was no help terrible customer service !

Housekeeper tried to give me dirty linen with hair all over it. She was so busy trying to leave work that she didnt want to retrieve a clean blanket for me. Desk staff was rude and loud occupants. I asked several times for things like extra linen and towels and they were never brought to the rook despite asking several times

Stumbled on this as a 'cheap' hotel after missing a flight. $140!! Might as well knock it down and start again. Reception smelt like smoke The whole building in need of desperate decoration/ refurbishment. Dark, dingy hallways The bed was collapsed on one side I asked to fill up my water bottle and was told 'they don't offer that service' and suggested I use the ice machine I asked about breakfast (advertised outside) and was told they haven't done that since covid Like other reviewers i would say avoid this place at all costs- if I had a car I would have slept in that instead!
