I went to Portland on a recon mission to see if I would like to move there. I booked last minute at the Traveler's House and have zero regrets. The house and staff are AMAZING! The main house was booked up by a private party but I got to stay in the 'house next door'. It was small with only 2 bunk rooms but was exactly what I wanted. Clean, comfortable, friendly with all the amenities I needed without being too overwhelming. Easy keypad entry for security and flexible entry. Super nice and approachable staff, it felt like I was staying with friends. It is not a party hostel which I enjoyed and was even able to take an uninterrupted afternoon nap, post urban exploration, which I feel is normally unheard of when staying in hostels. It is also in a great location on a quiet residential street with ample safe parking if you have your own vehicle but also walking distance to multiple hot spots for shops, restaurants, coffee shops and classic Portland food truck pods! I highly recommend this place!
I had an amazing, super fun time at Traveler's house. I know it is cliche to say this but it really felt like home to me. It felt much more like I was sharing a house with roommates rather than a hostel. I've never had a more comfortable and relaxing hostel experience. The place is kept spotless. and the kitchens is spacious and has anything you might want to use. The common areas are welcoming and encourage interaction so it's easy enough to meet people if you would like. The managers Ryan and Grant are extremely welcoming and knowledgeable about the surrounding neighborhood and the rest of the city, and they are both a large part of what made the hostel an amazing experience. Bottom line: If you want a more relaxed vibe in one of Portland's many quirky neighborhoods, you will not be disappointed here. If looking for a more lively party experience you may be disappointed.
Love love love! The hostel itself is amazing! Nice decor and very friendly staffs. The minute I walked through the door, I felt like home. Kitchen and bathroom are very clean. I've been to Portland several times, but I've just discovered Travelers' House recently. I wish I knew it earlier, really! The location is very convenient. Bus stop is about 2-3mins walking and it will take you straight to Downtown. The neighborhood is very interesting with bunches of cool gift shops, coffee shops, and restaurants. In conclusion, I have nothing to complain. My experience with Travelers' House was sweet! Definitely will come back again (;
Best hostel I've stayed at so far. Very clean, cozy place. They have nice furniture at communal areas and fully equipped, spacious kitchen. Made me wish my kitchen was as big as this one :) I stayed at 4 people female dorm, it had lots of space and clean. Also they keep the hostel warm all the time. Very friendly, professional management, Grant knows what he's doing. Will strongly consider here when I visit Portland again.
By far the best hostel experience ever! The managers and staff were the best, they made sure our stay was comfortable and welcoming! The place was CLEAN and warm, but my favorite part of our stay was the experience itself. I found a sense of healing in my life and I can truly say that it was because of the amazing environment they have created here. They are amazing host, they had a list of events/places to visit, which made our stay easier. I felt completely safe in this home, it was my first time traveling with friends and I can definitely say it was the best decision I’ve ever made in my life! Cheers to them! 👏🏼
I stayed in the Traveler's house when I was traveling by myself for the first time and was immediately welcomed with such a warmth. The staff was very friendly and had great tips on how to best spend my time in Portland. The rooms, bathrooms and kitchen were very clean and everybody was respectful about quiet times. The hostel is situated in a great area, close to amazing cafés, breweries, bars, restaurants and shops and the city center can be reached very quickly with public transit. ||I recommended this hostel to all my friends visiting Portland and whenever I might return to Portland I plan on staying there again.
Honestly, the best place I have ever stayed at and I have traveled quite a bit. The staff are extremely friendly and amazing! Grant and Ryan (managers) are some of the best people you will ever meet! They go out of their way to make sure your experience is a positive one. They go as far as personally creating events a few days during the week for people staying at the Travelers’ House. Some of those events include music night and a bonfire. Events were a lot of fun and the vibe was great. The place is very clean and beautiful. It has a lot to offer! My friend and I stayed here for 4 days and half of our time was spent inside the Travelers’ House because we found it to be more fun than actually exploring. We met a lot of people and created lifetime friendships. Highly recommend the Travelers’ House if you are ever in Portland! You will not regret it.
It’s been 3 months since I stayed at the Traveler’s House and I still find myself reminiscing and thumbing through photos from this trip. Portland is a fun town to visit, but what made it memorable was the friends I made at TH. This hostel is a star on its own. It’s very clean and spacious. They’ve got an amazing staff who are all friendly and helpful. Being greeted by a smile and by name goes a long way! All of the basic amenities are available and the kitchen was well stocked with equipment and basic pantry items if you needed it. I felt very ‘at home’ here because the energy was inviting and simple touches like the wifi password reminds guests to be thankful for life’s gifts and promoted positive thinking in this shared environment. =) I’ll admit I was nervous to pursue this trip because I’d never stayed at a hostel before (or traveled alone, for that matter). I have absolutely no regrets because staying here remains one of my favorite memories. I’m ready to go on more adventures! I would definitely stay here again!

This place is fantastic. This was our first visit. The customer ahead of us was giddy to recommend their house made vanilla syrup for our coffee drink and the âwicked awesomeâ sandwich. We arenât vegetarians but he was so insistent that we chan
I absolutely loved this spot!! We stumbled upon it after picking up some food from the Cart Blocks trucks. We were welcomed in with our food and purchased a glass of wine to enjoy with our food on the top deck. The atmosphere is so lovely! The serve
Awesome facility and located 5 minutes away. It was easy to find, although I wish it had a Risio sign outside. Their website was nice to navigate through and book a drop in session. Margaret the owner communicates and follows through and she looks li

I love this spot. They have one of the best cappuccinos in Portland. The staff is always kind, and friendly. And the tunes are always on point. Pro tip: ask for sugar crunchies on your capp. You wonât regret it!
The cart weâve needed! Rich flavors with the creamiest mac n cheese and mashed potatoes (my fave). Donât sleep on the desserts either. Somehow tastes even better as leftovers!
