Travelers Beach Inn - Motel in Ventura - 929 E Thompson Blvd, USA

Customer service is absolutely terrible, rooms are dirty, and the exterior is rundown. Even after experiencing these conditions on the first day I decided that I would save money and stay. My second night there, while I was fast asleep, the bathroom ceiling collapsed and the room instantly began to smell like mold and rotten wood. There were pieces of ceiling with black mold everywhere! The lady working the front desk didn’t care at all and just handed me a key for another room without saying a single word. I tried to tell her I wanted to check out and cancel my booking and she said “now is sleeping time, come back in the morning”, and drifted back into the room attached to the front lobby. I shook my head and walked to the room she gave me in the meantime. The room literally smelled like someone smoked a pack of cigarettes, pissed everywhere, and then died inside. I packed up all my stuff and booked another hotel that night at 2am. Staying here should be your ABSOLUTE LAST RESORT!!

KEEP AWAY!!! The worst experience ever! The front desk lady was rude and initially put my fiancé and I in a 2 bed room when we booked for 1 bed. We got to the room and it was dirty, smelled funky, the curtains did not close all the way! We went to tell her we canceling and she told us she had a better room for us… which ended up being a 1 bed room. However she said if we wanted to see the room first we had to leave the credit card while we went to check it out. When we got back to the front office the lady had already charged the card without our approval and papers for us to sign. We hadn’t even told her if we were staying or not! Not a safe stay!!! We tried canceling our 3 night stay after only 20 mins but still got charged for the full night.

DEFINITELY STAY HERE IF you like roaches, fleas and... OH! Wait for it... NEEDLES! I was ALMOST poked by a needle that looks like it ISN'T EMPTY... In the closet! (See photos) If I didn't have to pick 1 star, there wouldn't be any! OMG! I'm the easiest person to please... But, I had a front door that's been bashed in so much, you lock it, can still push it open. Furniture looks like free roadside junk. Toilet didn't work. TV remote had no batteries. Lamp switches don't work, you have to screw/unscrew bulb. The shower dropped and spurted I'm out in 3 directions, getting me soaked when turning on. Tried watching TV on my laptop, WiFi is garbage. And I KILLED A FLEA ON ME! Was there 4 hours and went to desk to cancel rest of my stay! THEN, she'll rip you off cuz she asks to pay everything in cash... I paid 50 for a deposit, 170 for a Sat, 120 for a Sun and 100 for a Monday... Then she only gave me back 20 from the deposit (I actually gave her 60). When I asked why, she said a bunch of stuff I didn't understand... Don't be fooled by the $67 u see for rates online!!!

Positive: Nothing this is a cockroach infested motel and the owners nothing about the problem Negative: I tried to check out after only being here an hour because there was roaches everywhere and not even raid would kill them. When I went to the after 1h window and Rang the bell numerous times and no 1 came to the window. I left losing deposit

Positive: I enjoyed the lady at the desk Negative: The room, bed, bathroom & seating area. It was not a pleasant look. Holes in the cover, bed completely sunken in down the middle, faucet ran continuously, shower was disgusting. Among other things, highly not recommend anyone staying here.

Positive: Nothing Negative: The bathroom was so terrible. We never used it.. The woman that checked us in was extremely rude and could barely speak English. When we booked the hotel, it looked a lot better on your website, but I would never have booked it if I had seen it first

My review is based off of what I got for what I paid for. A clean bed and a place to stay for a very cheap price. The hotel definitely has potential if they fixed it up, but then the price per night would definitely go up. If you stayed here you obviously wanted the lowest price hotel in the area. The owner is very nice to!

The lady at the front desk is very rude. She has no good customer service skills. None was soever. I didn’t even get chance to reservation a room and she got very rude with me. Good luck to whoever talks to this lady at the front desk and from the reviews, it seems as though the place is not really up to par.
