Travel Inn - Motel in Richmond - 6511 Midlothian Tpke, USA

The area in which the motel located in is the least safe area in RVA - this motel itself being one of the main epicenters. Theft and burglary are the customary norm and those frequently passing by will hardly notice anything out of ordinary hearing gunshots, ambulance and police sirens, loud shouting screaming, and swearing and much more. Most of the occupants are (supposedly) in the recovery program that’s funded by the organization Crisis which, as far as I have understood, is largely funded by the state —thus making the state one of the main de facto sponsors of drug addiction in Midlothian Turnpike area. These folks take the advantage of every opportunity they can to ensure a constant influx of scheduled substances and prevent the realization of the sad reality they have been stuck in. The entire scene is majorly concerning and overwhelmingly depressing since not much light is shining at the end of the tunnel. In fact, time seems to have stopped here and day and night follow one another in unceremonious fashion just out of necessity — it seems like the same day keeps repeating over and over again. This place is a mini hell that leaves one wondering if the world indeed has ended.

The price is ok. Rooms are clean and sometimes smell like stale cigarettes. Bedbugs though. The lady owner is super nice but I KNOW that even though she and the male owner that I assume is her husband do not speak very good english...they know what bedbug means. I asked to switch rooms and she kindly told me there were no more rooms even though the vacancy sign was lit up the night before. I would not personally suggest this place to ANYONE.

Rms always clean and smells fresh.linen clean.no bugs. Not a lot of traffic.very very comfortable I go here all the time when I need 2 get away.I even have a certain rm I reserve..Cool owners but the wife is my friend...sn the furniture needs an update but ig they'll catch up eventually..

The room was clean, but the hotel owner was AWFUL!!!! He harrassed me the whole time that I was there! Between banging on my door because I had someone stop by my room for a little while , being that I broke my leg and I am unable to drive; to bring me food& to help me with the things I may need.(He also put me in an upstairs room; and like I said I have a broken leg!) The owner should have made a way for me to get a downstairs room-no questions asked!We were not making any noise at all, we were just watching TV& quietly laying on the bed...As I said earlier, he banged on my door and he used his key to open my door! He started yelling at me , telling me that I was a liar and I only put one down on my paper work for my room... and told my company they had to get out and they weren't allowed on his property and if they didn't leave he was calling the police, then he made reference to me about being a prostitute; saying " I do not allow prostitution acts on my property.... All this because I had company??? Very un-called for! Then my crutches happened to fall on the floor later on that night, the hotel owner imedately called my room and said " we don't make noise around here, do it again and I call the police"(this is the 2nd time he threatened me with calling the police) then the next morning, at 10:23am, he calls my room yet again!!!and tells me it's time to go, unless you are staying another night, umm, I was told check out was at 11 am... Why am I being rushed to leave? I will never patronize his hotel again! He needs to learn how to treat his guests (especially ones with handicaps and disabilities) and mind his own business! He is a prick! Excuse my language! But I paid him $65.00 dollars- if I want to have a visitor, so be it!!! There was no wild partying going on! He thinks he owns The Marriot or something😂😂 he needs to get a life!

BED BUGS!!!! I went to the manager to try and switch rooms at least because I knew they weren't going to refund me anything and all she did was yell at me saying I check out tomorrow and just now realized I had bed bugs! They have to know they have bed bugs or she wouldn't have been so defensive. No apology or anything!!! So rude! Do not stay here unless you want to be eaten alive!

Great room for the price. Clean, nice king-size bed AND couch. Both smoking and non smoking rooms. 2 stories. Right off the Midlothian highway exit, and near many convience stores, restaurants, and gas stations.

For a two star establishment in this area they have the cleanest and well maintained rooms i have seen. Understand I am comparing to the other motels within a 1 mile radius of similar type abd price.

Very nice room and very clean. Will definitely stay here every time I'm in richmond
