Got a spur-of-the-moment room at around 2am-ish; the night clerk could have been nicer, but check-in process was quick overall. At the rate we paid, we shouldn't have had a roach fall from somewhere above the doorway right after stepping into the room, or better yet have no roaches period... In the mini fridge, crawling out from behind the headboard, it's just unacceptable and especially unsanitary. Definitely won't be staying here another time .
Stayed 2 nights in 2 rooms. The 1st night in downstairs spacious, clean room with decent carpet, comfy bed big TV and refrig. But no microwave. Bathroom area was clean and towels fresh and in good condition. 2nd night I was in an upstairs room that was about half the size of the previous room, had burn holes in carpet and ripped bedding. (I brought my own blanket and slept on top of made bed with my blanket.) The mattress was saggy and uncomfortable. The AC did not work (but windows did open). Towels were in shreds and stained so I used my own towel. The room smelled un clean, had peeling paint and rags stuffed into the hole in the ceiling where the fire alarm should have been. I suppose I should have asked for a different room but I was too tired. Both nights the staff was friendly, easy to deal with and the price was great. $70 a night + $30 deposit on 1st night. Deposit is refunded upon check out. I will stay here again, but not upstairs. 🙂
No bugs. Hot water. Clean sheets. Low police activity/quiet. Cable... I lived here most of 2016, while apartment hunting... Best place you are going to find in San Fernando Valley for $45/$55 a night!!! The owners are a couple from India.... Don't let their stern, no-nonsense attitudes scare you away!! They are very kind and good people- running a tight ship, and looking out for the best interests of their place. They work very hard, and have to deal with a lot people who come, looking to party.. And ultimately cause problems. They are suspicious, yes- but rightfully so; and I can attest to the bedding being changed daily... For the price, I love the place!!
This place is full of bedbugs and all rooms ate full of nasty roaches. Dirty carpeting as well. When complained to the people running this place they came up with the most ridiculous excuse, because on occasion my friend came to visit me with her small dog they would say that is the reason for the roaches. Keep in mind if you leave your room and have the A/C running you will return back and see that the A/C is turned off. Why you may ask? They come into your room without you even knowing and turn it off. This is totally unexceptable. Some rooms have a separate kitchenette which is separated with a locked door, even though you pay for the whole room they will keep the lock on it just so during cleaning day they have less to do. Not sure if all these issues could be reviewed and check by the local City or most definitely by the HEATH DEPARTMENT, but seriously it should be checked out ASAP.
Had a terrible time here just a while ago. It was only 40 bucks. Cheap because it sucks. The front desk man checked me into the Galaxy next door. People were loud, rude and disturbing. Had to stay all night because there were no buses running. The room had an odor as well as vapors of Meth left over from previous guests. Got a little sick and the washcloth in the bathroom was old and torn. At least I brought my own. And I saw a couple of roaches. I was glad once I left in the morning
This is the best place place to stay weekly for adults. It’s the cheapest one in the whole valley. Just keep your room clean and pay on time, and your set. They don’t bother you. It’s low key.
Ram&Becky are owners of the Travel Inn. They are good people. Cheapest prices in town. Rooms are spacious, each with a flat screen Tv, fridge. & queen size bed !...I recommend the Travel Inn motel !
A little old and outdated in terms of furniture and linens and other amenities. But, they offer a nice rate which is the big selling point here. 👍
Donât forget to bring your adventure pass or national park pass for the parking. Fun trail! Got all landscape: peak, canyon, falls. Got more steep and challenging at the last mile. Several river crosses including slippery rocks and path. Better br
