Complete lack of communication. My office had them install our camera system last year. The cameras constantly go out. We call and text weekly to come out and fix them as they have been on and off since installation. They schedule someone to come out and don't show; then don't answer for weeks; schedule and no show. I'd pay whatever they'd quote- just come fix our system, please!

Relocated here for $25 an hour and after a couple months of not meeting quota because I was not given a company vehicle like everyone else so four hours of my work day was prep and travel I was never going to meet quota. My salary was to be reduced by $8 to $17 and some change. Also when I was asked how much I wanted and said $25 an hour I was speaking to the hiring manager and HR. The HR lady said well that’s a lot and the manager said hold on Joseph they put me on hold and talked privately a minute later they came back online and agreed to the salary, almost as if they talked about how they were going to reduce my salary when I got here and was trapped at this job. They didn’t expect me to walk out like I did. I’m pretty sure that’s illegal, offering a salary to get me across the country knowing that you plan to reduce that salary after I arrive. Do you know what else is illegal? Making your employees relieve themselves in bottles in public because you’re too cheap to buy a porta John is a felony. You know what else is illegal? Falsifying contracts stating you have CERTIFIED trained technicians working on million dollar projects who have never seen fiber optics in their lives, is not only in violation of that contract but pretty sure it’s illegal. I am a Certified fiber optic technician specialist in five categories, splicing/testing/premise cabling/ FTTX/connectors. Transtel wanted those certifications and experience to gain new contracts and build on my knowledge but they wanted to rip me off in the process by using my name and experience to gain contracts or trust and not pay me for my education or worth. You may ask how do I know no one is certified? Well, the supervisor in charge of fiber comes from owning a gym, it failed he is at transtel. No experience or education yet he is managing huge projects with no inside knowledge or training of fiber optics. If he can not tell me how to do my job if he’s not trained, how can he tell his workers? The people in the field told me they never spliced outside of a Cox enclosure. That’s two slices a case. No one could tell me the maximum bend radius of a fiber optic cable which is pretty basic knowledge as well as EXTREMELY important!!! Does OEC know that your employees are untrained and certified. Would OEC management be ok knowing that your employees can’t tell how much of a bend is too much for fiber? That scary to me and it should me to OEC. If you desire a real future in comms or fiber optics this is not for you, a dead end job where they teach you the bare minimum and never certify you because you can work anywhere afterwards. Lowest paying comms job in the state. Never met a splicer making less than $20 an hour and they pay in the teens here, again they get away with it because your not a real splicer or fiber tech, your just gonna do bare minimum fiber work and get paid bare minimum, if your lucky. I been waiting on transtel to reach out to me on here or defend themselves like they did other posts on here but they have not, because they know I’m right. Transtel, if I’m lying let’s have a phone call conversation about my claims and talk this out. We both know the truth and so does god. i have been in communications 20 years I single handedly led the Data center connectivity team at 5 facebook data centers across the nation in charge up 75 people installing everything fiber optic n the data center, which is a lot. I was even in charge of EPMS ststens after DCC.I was the youngest field engineer at facebook for six months dealing with many communications companies and vendors and never have I seen a company so sloppy, unorganized, unprofessional, un- knowledgeable, or so open about their transgressions. The audacity of transtel blows my mind. There is a reason they can not work outside Oklahoma and it’s not a licensing issue. It’s that no one wants their crappy workmanship. State average for splicing fiber is $17-$24 and despite knowing more than anyone in the building you slap me in the face with $17 an hr. What was next?? Worst company in the state.

Twice now I've seen their trucks on the road being driven less than desirable. One was on the highway by me and I noticed how they were driving so I made a point to distance myself from them. Then they took the same exit as me (I was behind them) and they took the loop so fast they were losing parts off the back of the truck. And this morning a guy was very erratic and not staying in his lane and I noticed it was another Trans-tel truck. Probably need to slap some "How's my driving?" stickers on the trucks.

As a former (retired from Trans-Tel) employee (Business Development), I was awarded many contracts based in large part on our superior past performance. Our quality of engineering and our adherence to to industry standards (BICSI) ensured that our customers would get a finished product that met or exceeded their expectations. The more contracts we performed on, the easier my job got! My mentors at Trans-Tel taught me that if you work hard, you can achieve the American Dream!

Read any of the other 1 star reviews on here. This company's employees cause nothing but more issues at job sites. The 5 star reviews they do have must be paid.

A technician stepped on a water line in my attic, causing a small break, which went unnoticed. A few weeks later, the ceiling in my garage collapsed leaving a 12 square foot hole, as well as water, insulation, and dry wall all over my garage. When I tried to file a complaint, the investigator who came to my house made lots of excuses, called me a liar, and said they were not going to take responsibility. Only leaving 1 star because zero stars isn’t an option.

Terrible company. Their workers are unskilled laborers who are handed shovels and told to bury lines. I recommend using any other company in this line of work.

I would give 0 stars if I could... they break your internet that you have with another company and then give you the run around and end up not coming back to fix what they broke.
