I did the walking tour outdoors and the indoor layout. Cheri did a great job telling about the layout. Jason did a great job telling us about the trains outdoors. I highly recommend visiting here. The indoor layout is spectacular. A must see.

My 2 years old boy toddler loved it!!! He enjoyed moving little train more than 30min.. I accidentally missed the touring time, which was 11 or 1 pm, so we chose to enter the little moving train village. It is small for adults who are not interested in train may take only 10 min to look whole place. You will not be able to see the real train if you do not book the touring session. Do not be late on the touring time you will miss it :(. I thought the time was estimated time like other places, but it was a sharp point. I still enjoyed the place with my toddler 😊

I had a good time with the family going through the scavenger hunt. I only wished there was an opportunity to see the trains outside. Our ticket only covered the inside. Maybe it was the weather being cold.

Guided tours of historic trains take visitors through over a century of rail transportation. Explore such attractions including a Pullman car, caboose, and much more! Indoors has more for rail buffs but in miniature form. Over half a dozen model trains wind their way through cities, mountains, logging towns, and sights in between. Visitors of all ages can participate in scavenger hunts, searching for details the casual viewer may have missed!

Our son is a big train fanatic and he enjoyed it. The staff are super friendly and knowledgeable very sweet people we will go again but will skip the guided tour, it's not great for parents with little ones.

Nice museum both the Protype outside and the scaled train layout inside. Note the outside guided tour is limited to specific times. Plan your day accordingly. You would not want to miss seeing the Big Boy!

We initially came here for the trains. But we didn’t pay attention and realize walking tours are only offered on certain days. Be sure to study the website before heading out. What a superb collection of rolling stock. Super neat place.

Went to visit the big trains outside the museum. But since the great hot weather of Texas they have only tours that are only 2-3 times daily. One should call before planning to get the tours. However we were able to see the miniature inside museum which has a lot of running trains and the memories of a late business man. He recreated places from his life and memory and some more. We were really excited to see the collection of trains, old Dallas city and other places. Spent a good time but still didn't want to leave. Best part is 8 minutes cycle of daylight and night mode. If you are a Rail Fan or Miniature enthusiast... It's your place to be!
