Trailhead Steak and Trout House did not disappoint. Our wait was about 30 minutes. The upstairs area serves as an overflow for people waiting to be seated. They do have a few seats on the ground floor you can use while you wait. Our appetizer and food was satisfying. The price was reasonable, considering we ordered an appetizer. Our meal was about $53. We did end up bringing home leftovers, which made for a nice dinner. Hailey, our waitress, was excellent! She kept our drinks filled and continued to check on us throughout our meal. Highly recommend!
We stopped for lunch and were pleasantly surprised. The food was excellent! My steak was cooked perfectly the way I requested. Everything was just so good the staff was very friendly and attentive and it was very clean and quiet. The prices were a little higher than we realized but it was all worth it!
The fried green tomatoes were excellent; be careful, they are hot! Tried the fried catfish with mashed potatoes and green beans. My wife had the pork chop with a baked potato and green beans. Food was great, came out hot, waitress kept our drinks full. Also had cheesecake for dessert; pumpkin spice for the fall season.
Phenomenal food and service on highway 321 Tennessee. We got their fried green tomatoes and blackberry jam brown sugar glazed bacon burger. Hands down the best fried green tomatoes. And the burger took us by surprise with the combination of sweet and savory. Come early or there will be a line.
You know it’s good when there is a parking lot full of locals and the wait is 30+mins! Fried Green Tomatoes, bread, and Mushroom & Swiss burger were all on point. They didn’t have steak on the kids menu, so I ordered my son a 6oz Sirloin and it was perfectly cooked. Service was great. I will be back and recommending to others! :)
Lovely restaurant offering well-prepared food, delicious and good value. My sirloin steak was perfectly preared.
The fried green tomatoes and hush puppies were delicious. My server was wonderful and took excellent care of us. My chili and shrimp plate were spectacular. I can’t wait to go again.

After leaving Florida a day early for a business trip to Knoxville, we had stopped off in Townsend to find lodging for the evening. We had been on the road and awake for well over 24hrs and were extremely exhausted and was hoping to check in early. K
