Trail of Terror - Haunted house in Wallingford - 60 N Plains Hwy, USA

I’ve been a regular of the Trail of Terror for over a decade, and every year it’s bigger and better than ever with new themes, scares, and obstacles. This year was my 9 year old son’s first visit and he can’t wait to go back every year! The actors made sure to thoroughly scare him but were so sweet and accommodating of his age at the same time; they treated him like a VIP and he loved it. I also appreciate the changes that have been made from previous years I’ve been. There is more organization and security upon entrance, and an intermission area in the middle of the trail, which I feel were necessary and welcome changes. It also feels good to know all the proceeds go to local charities. The hot apple cider and cider donuts at the end were a yummy bonus! See you next year! 🎃👻

VERY well designed and adventurous. Thanks to all the volunteers who dress up and scare! Can be a bit of a wait so be ready to spend 1-2 hrs extra.

4.5 and I’m only knocking a half point because they had some serious pacing issues this year. Besides that it was soooooooooo amazing the actors were so talented and you could tell they were really enjoying tormenting us. I was screaming bloody murder every 5 seconds so much so that they ended up cornering my boyfriend and asked him my name and tortured me the entire time. I was an easy target. I’ve been going here since I was 15 and it is always such a great time, they’re only getting better. But they gotta fix those pacing issues, we were on top of each other and I felt like we missed out on some good scenes. Regardless, 10/10 best haunted trail in Ct

Love going here every year! actors are always wonderful! I took my 6 & 9 year old they were scared but they loved it & the actors made sure to scare but also be playful to the 6 year old! Walk is fun. I do wish more PEOPLE would volunteer to fill some gaps but that's not on the Trail at all. They treat their volunteers AMAZING &they are all wonderful people! I could go on & on but don't have the time right now over all IS A MUST VISIT FOR EVERYONE!

I brought my excited family to the Trail of Terror for the very first time. It was absolutely worth the drive from MA as it was actually scary enough for me but fun for the kids as well!!! We'll be back next year, no doubt!

So much fun. This is my daughters second year going. She's 9 and loves it. It was totally different this year in a good way. They added a whole terrifier soon and lots of clowns. I loved it. They put a lot of work into to it

Always very impressive. Actors are engaging and clearly enjoy their job. Sets are incredible. Even the queue has so much going on. The entire experience is definitely worth it.

Amazing haunt that mixes well-known horror icons (Ghostface, Terrifier, Pyramid Head were all present on our visit) with original characters and scenes. The actors were fully committed to providing an authentic haunt experience. I lost count of how many times I jumped or screamed or grabbed hold of my boyfriend for my life. What was most impressive was at the end of the haunt the ladies working the comment card table told us that the Trail of Terror is all volunteer-run; these are people that love Halloween and what they do and it shows. This is one of the most affordable haunts my boyfriend and I did this season and we couldn’t stop talking about how it was the best one we did this year on the walk back to the car. Only comment was that I wish there was more Ghostface, but he’s a favorite character of mine.
