Such a pleasant stay at Tradewinds! This is a dog friendly inn on Mission street, just a few blocks from great shopping and dining. The hotel was quiet and my room had partial (and beautiful!) views of the ocean. The check in service was great and easy, and I loved that breakfast was included. The hotel had lush greenery and a zen vibe. I definitely plan to stay here again.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Tradewinds Carmel hotel, and I must say, it's a hidden gem! This quaint little hotel is tucked away, giving it a serene and zen garden feeling. The highlight was definitely the room's water fountain, which added a calming touch. Now, here's a heads-up: there's no air conditioning, but trust me, you won't need it in the charming town of Carmel. The coastal breeze works its magic. What's unique here is their complimentary breakfast system. Each night, you get to choose your breakfast items by checking a box on paper and submitting it to the front desk. It's a fun way to personalize your morning meal. However, there's one humorous drawback: in room #1, the water pipes for the next room are right by the headboard, and they can be painfully loud. On the bright side, the noise didn't last long, but that might not be a good thing if it means the neighbors didn't properly shower! 😄 Overall, Tradewinds Carmel is a charming and peaceful retreat, with just a touch of quirky charm. Perfect for a cozy Carmel getaway. 🌊🌴

Great. The location is walkable to tourist spot attractions and nearby the beach. The room has fireplace and has ocean view even if it’s a little far. The bathroom doesn’t have a lock and only has a barn style door but it has conditioner, shampoo and body wash, as well as hair dryer. The tv is in a cabinet which is kind of like an after thought to be honest because it’s not visible if one is seating on the couch because of the doors blocking the tv. It got fridge, refrigerator, sink and coffee maker. We appreciate the 2 spoons that were included as well as the cups and glasses. It’s a spacious room. All in all, it was great.

Great stay at Tradewinds! The rooms were very spacious, with lovely comfortable beds and only a 10 min walk from the Main Street. I would definitely stay here again. Staff all very friendly and the breakfast baskets delivered you your door each day were great!

Our 2 night stop in Carmel was great, such a lovely town. The room, location and staff at the Tradewinds made the whole experience even better. Christine on the front desk was amazingly helpful to us before and during our stay. Thoroughly recommend the Tradewinds for anyone doing the road trip through California

We went to Carmel for a weekend weeding and booked a room at the Tradewinds. Upon arrival, we were notified that we had been upgraded to a suite which was fabulous. The room was amazing, had a fireplace (we didn’t needed because summer), 1 full bathroom and a half bathroom, the bed was very comfortable and my request for extra pillows was fulfilled before arrival to the hotel. Prior to arrival, I received some texts from the hotel to confirm/verify our arrival time very convenient for us. It also includes a light breakfast every morning, which you order the night prior with a card/menu from the hotel. The staff gave us the menu upon registration and completed with our breakfast choices and dropped at the reception before 11 pm. The staff is friendly, the facilities are clean and safe, very beautiful setting and the location is great, a few steps from restaurants and shops. It is also located close to the beach. We will definitely be back to the Tradewinds.

Sitting by the fire in the courtyard on our final night. So relaxing in the Buddha garden. The hotel is situated at the top of a quiet street, but still convenient to everything. Staff is very friendly, room design is thought out and lovely, the most comfortable sheets I’ve ever slept on, delicious breakfast options delivered to your doorsteps every morning, nice views of the ocean are possible because you’re on a high street. I have really enjoyed my time here. Congratulations to the staff and proprietors for creating such a special and welcoming place!
