Trackside Restaurant - American restaurant in Utica - 321 Main St, USA

The food was fantastic, all the way around, everyone was very happy with their food. The atmosphere is pretty mixed; It’s in the middle of the old train station which is gorgeous, but with all the doors open, it’s a bit loud. The staff was very friendly and we’d definitely go again.

Beautiful restaurant with great food. Our server was pleasant and efficient. I had the Treasure salad, a lemon sorbet to cleanse the pallet, and very delicious chicken riggies! The only thing I noticed was the bathroom could be updated ... They were fine for a luncheon but I don't think they'd be sufficient for a big party or wedding but maybe there are different larger ones located somewhere else

Great Italian restaurant. The food is top notch in this place. The sandwiches at lunch are great and there are always a couple of specials. Dinner is fantastic. Nice menu, good drinks, the sorbet in between is an amazing touch. They also do an amazing job at private parties. I have attended several and everything was perfect. Can't go wrong here.

Chicken dish with wine sauce wasn't the greatest. Sauce was too thick. Couldn't taste the wine at all. Needed the acid from the wine. Seafood dish again seemed amature. The squash and flower made it look elegant, but the food needed more flavor, very bland. The salad was nice and sorbet was nice. The server was abrupt and not nice. We went on a snowy night and she almost turned us away stating they were expecting a large crowd. There were only 4 tables filled when we got there. An hour later, still no huge crowd. We were walk ins and she didn't want to take us with no reservations. She reluctantly sat us, waited on us with attitude. We tipped well, but I felt like we were an inconvenience to our server. Customers should NEVER feel that way.

Wonderful experience dining here. Expected the noise level to be awful as we were seated in the section in the train station and there was a banquet in another room. We were pleasantly surprised with how easily we could hear one another. The service was excellent, and although it took a long time to get our entrees, it was well worth the wait. Everything was fresh and cooked to perfection. Steaks and lamb were cooked exactly as requested. Halibut scampi, a special for tonight, was delicious. They serve an unusual salad included with all entrees. Lemon sorbet afterwards before the entree. For the quality of the meal, the prices are better than similar restaurants. Will definitely go back.

We ordered the appetizers of the calamari and coconut shrimp which both were amazing. We all ordered the chicken riggies which were also delicious and was served with an edible orchid. For dessert I ordered the amaretto cheesecake which was amazing. I highly recommend trackside.

Had our wedding reception here. Great to work with! Excellent waitstaff! Fantastic food! Amber and her staff created an event that ran seamlessly and smoothly alleviating stress! I highly recommend this professional team for your event!

Very moist, tender, not over-spiced. The plum sauce was outstanding, with the meat. Slice of acorn squash, and the lamb, was seton a bed of mashed potato, complete with a edible flower garnish. Spent five minutes taking pictures of the entree. The Trackside Restaurant, atmosphere was a delight. Very quiet for being in a train station. And yes, you can go from the restaurant, directly to the trains. Daily specials, are not to be missed. The server, was very good at pointing-out the specials and she was not invasive, giving us plenty of privacy. The noise-level was better than most restaurants with similar menu pricing. No need to shout at your own-table. And the buffet party near our table was barely noticeable. Just a very pleasant atmosphere. Casual-dress requirement. This is another fine-dinging restaurant, that should do away with, "Casual." Nothing wrong requiring guys to wear a dress-jac, and tie, with no sandals. Seriously. Men with sandals at a restaurant, is just being a Snowflake. Lastly. The lighting. Tires of restaurants having a way-to-dark theme. It's not like we're going to have sex on-the-table, after dinner. Like eating in a cave. You won't feel like you're reading a novel, when browsing the menu items. Any questions, just ask your server. We all left the Trackside restaurant, very gratified. Well worth a second visit. Another elegant Utica, New York restaurant, that deserves five stars. And Five stars, to the kitchen staff, for a savory menu.
