Nightmare to get help, and their products don’t come with power supplies🤦‍♂️

After a power outage in my apartment complex, my Archer A7 was not transmitting any 2.4gb or 5gb wireless signal. At first, I thought it had to do with my Internet provider. It turns out that there was no service outage. Per the TP-Link suggestions on the website, reading the manuals, and chatting with a customer service representative on live chat, after hard resetting it, turning it on/off, and even re-configuring the device and settings on the IP address website, it still would not transmit any wireless signal. I finally got in touch with a representative from tech support in email. We have been emailing each other back and forth about the problem for almost two weeks (more like a week and a half). At first, I was told my product was not under warranty because the problem happened "after" the power outage. I did not see that clause anywhere, so this does not make any sense to me. After addressing my concern with the same representative in email, I finally had a standard RMA created for me. I paid close to $38 having it packaged and shipped out to Brea, CA, which I did not appreciate, but I understand that if they cannot identify the problem with my device, then there is no actual problem. Today, I got a call from TP-Link. The lady did not leave her name or extension, just a phone number. She just said, "We are inquiring about who you intend to send this package to." Obviously, I do not know, other than stating the name I have from email conversations. After calling back and trying to direct myself on the menu, I talked with a representative in the wireless routers/extenders department. To be honest, he was no help at all. After telling him I was contacted about my package with no address name, he just inquired about my RMA ticket number. When he could not find the information he wanted on that, he just asked me about my USPS tracking number (which I did not have on me). After that, he just said, "You can call back or email back with the tracking number when you have it, sir." It might have not been his job to track my package, but he still could have transferred my call to someone else who could help me. I say this coming from a place of understanding company policy, even when we, as the customers, may or may not fail to read or overlook clauses in the fine print. Overall, I feel like I was never provided with much direction from any of these representatives. I will still call later when I have my tracking number with me, but I struggle to give this company a bad rating due to their customer service when they do, in fact, create great products. After this experience, I may shy away from purchasing TP-Link products in the future. If this problem happens again, I do not want to have to deal with all of this again.

I've been working with this company's customer service since 11 May. It's the 31st now. Absolutely horrible. It should be no stars and they should be reported to the BBB. Nothing but BS emails returned and "well you forgot this, then that". I would not recommend you buy anything from this company. I have 15 emails that mean nothing and several phone calls with missing direction. Stay away.

TP-Link is a garbage provider in every facet of their business. tried their wireless adapters, routers because the salesman at frys electronic recommended TP as the best choice. well they cant get any worse than TP. Windows 10 doesnt recognize TP devices as plug an play and does not have compatible drivers for them. Driver and Utility CD included in packaging is unreadable on more than one product and their web site that supports for download of their software for their garbage is stuck in 1988, their upload speed is 48kbs. to down load a 41 mb it took me hour and 15 min. Oh before i forget you can use their live chat which uses the latest technology called IHQ which stand for infinte Holding Queue. Get out of my face TP-link as well as Frys Garbage electronic store. IT's 21st century get on with it.

Never buy their routers. I called for support and the firmware they sent me destroyed my router and they refused to replace it. I'll never buy from them again.
