TownePlace Suites Tacoma Lakewood - Hotel in Lakewood - 11725 Pacific Hwy SW, USA

This location is right off the highway. The area didn't look like the greatest, but I felt safe in the hotel as well as the parking lot. The lobby was very nice and welcoming. The employees were all very friendly. The gym and pool were great. The room was clean and set up nicely. Great plus to have a full-size freezer and fridge in the room. The complimentary breakfast was great with multiple options.

We were in Tacoma a few days and needed something simple and affordable so we opted for TownePlace since it is a Marriott brand. Venue was easy to locate. The rooms have a mini kitchen and other features. Property was clean and offered a nice breakfast so our stay was pleasant. Staff was very courteous and professional.

We stayed here for two nights while attending a wedding in Tacoma, as we do not normally visit Lakewood. This hotel is conveniently located just off of the I-5 freeway, very close to the McCord Military Base. There is not a lot of restaurants or cafes nearby.||||We asked for a west side room, away from the freeway. The windows are a bit on the thin side, as you could still hear traffic. We could also hear people above us walking, but that was not a problem as they were pretty considerate. The room is very clean and lots of closet and storage space. There is a small and complete kitchen setup, great if you wanted to have meals in room. A very roomy four person dining table set was in the room. The only down side is the TV is very small in size, a bit surprising for today's standards.||||Large bathroom, very clean. Nice toiletries. The only odd part is the towel rack was so far away from the shower/tub, directly behind the door. Not particularly convenient.||||The breakfast was excellent, even switched up from day to day. Scrambled eggs to fried eggs. Terrific bacon! Lots of variety from pastries to waffles, yogurts and oatmeal. Hard boiled eggs, cereals, etc etc. Quite nice for this level of Marriot.||||The nice part: FREE parking. That is rare to find now. Definitely a plus.

Just a few things to note. If you value quiet in your room, look elsewhere. My window is maybe 90 yards from I5, and it doesn't matter which side of the hotel you're on. it's noisy. Full trash bags in the hallways is a common sighting. grounds staff aggressively confronted me on the grounds, admitting that he thought I was homeless and loitering. But then only asked for a room number, not a key card. The breakfast is free though! Probably won't stay here again. And as stated in some of the other reviews, the area isn't the safest. It is properly fenced off though.

This hotel is not very new but the staff is great and friendly. The hotel does have a small kitchen with pots and dishes. Very clean and comfortable. They also have daily breakfast onsite without a fee. The location is great just near the entrance of the highway. Highly recommended.

This hotel is remodeled, but you can tell they did a horrible job. It's like they didn't care how it turned out. It's nice to have a kitchen in your room. Breakfast wasn't the best. Service is okay. The area doesn't seem as safe in my opinion.

Not very clean. The service desk is friendly and willing to offer help. But to this level of hotel I feel the facility is well maintained. You can easily find hair and not clean sheets. A little disappointed.

First thing was a bad smell like mildew. The room was in very bad shape. Damage to the floor the doors. Broken pieces of trim black mold in barhrooim. Dirty sink faucet very dirty floor tiles. Not Marriot quality. Not worth $300 a night.
