TownePlace Suites San Diego Carlsbad/Vista - Hotel in Vista - 2201 S Melrose Dr, USA

This is our second time staying at this hotel and we were thoroughly impressed with the cleanliness of our room, the staff and the breakfast service. Cheryl and Andrea were at the front desk when we checked and were very welcoming and efficient. They made sure we had everything we needed and told us not to hesitate to contact them if there was anything more they could do. It is staff like Andrea and Cheryl that make an excellent hotel even more memorable.

The rooms were clean, spacious, and welcoming. We booked many rooms for my son's wedding. All my family were pleased with the hotel and especially the staff who went above and beyond to help us with anything we needed. The breakfast was wonderful every day and we had great family time in the breakfast area in the evening hours. I would especially like to give a shout out to Sanja Ilunga, the sales manager I worked with, she is a gem of a human. The staff even decorated my son's room to greet the couple on their wedding night!!!

We were in town for a soccer tournament, we have to book through a company for our stay and play. Well this was one for the books to stay away from. Lets start with, rates were higher because we were a blocked group by almost $75 a night, than the tax rate was higher once we checked in. The wifi/service was none existent or wouldn’t even work with your own cellular. Now the rooms- stayed in 2room suite with queen beds. 1st beds were not queen but full! The whole hotel smelt of wet carpet, dog and mildew. Beds were so worn, even one person sunk into the whole in the middle of bed’s. No face cover on ac unit. Kitchen area was fine and clean enough. They new kids were going to be there and the service the moment we walked in - kids can not run around and expected to be in rooms. There is no area to come out and hang in the front other than breakfast area. They complain if you were to loud even during day.

I stayed with my family of 4 (kids ages 4 & 1) for 8 days. It was a fantastic experience. The rooms are clean and comfortable. We were provided with a portable crib for our 1 year old. It has a kitchen that we cooked a couple dinners in. The breakfast buffet was very good with a wide variety of foods to choose from. Such as cereal, yogurt, fruit, toast, bagels, waffle station, eggs, bacon and sausage and more. They even had milk and chocolate milk cartons. The staff were amazing. Everything we requested was given to us right away. The pool was nice. The staff are fantastic. They even disposed of our broken stroller for us. Highly recommend! 15 min drive from Legoland. 60 min from Sesame Place. 30 min from Safari park

We stayed at this hotel with a group of 100 persons, as we were in town for a soccer tournament with three of our club teams. First, the staff was awesome. Friendly, professional, and very informative. They even provided us with some welcome packages for our players, upon arrival. Rooms were clean and the breakfast was very good. The location for our group was perfect, with easy access to our fields and area attractions. Outside the hotel, in the same plaza, there are some nice eating options, including a great taco place, sushi, Starbucks, and pizza. A liquor store is there too. All in all a great place, I would highly recommend it. If you like to walk in the morning there is a nice park next by and another further down the street.

FLEAS!!! DO NOT STAY HERE!! Our room was infested with fleas! We did not realize this until the next morning after our first night. I understand this hotel is pet friendly, but the rooms needs to be properly cleaned and checked before accommodating new guests. The hotel was not apologetic or concerned about this. They only could offer us another room and 10,000 Marriott Points ($40). I WILL NOT STAY HERE AGAIN, absolutely disgusting!

We LOVE this property. Our out of town employees LOVE this property and always look forward to visiting and getting VIP treatment. Sanja Ilunga is AMAZING and always is a pleasure to work with and definitely makes sure we have everything we need. The breakfast and Wed Happy Hours are much appreciated and utilized. Stayed this weekend for legoland, everything was perfect, this hotel was amazing, Great quiet location with a starbucks, sushi, gas station In side the plaza. Our room was clean, staff was very helpful, every morning there was warm delightful breakfast with staff cleaning every minute making sure everything ran smoothly & lady was very attentive. Young gentleman always making sure everything was in order. Very happy with this place. Will definitely be booking again!
