TownePlace Suites Richmond - Hotel in Richmond - 2018 Colby Taylor Dr, USA

We were so incredibly pleased with our recent stay at the TownePlace Suites Richmond. We arrived late in the evening to Richmond, KY after traveling cross-country. The front desk staff was accommodating and helped us book a large room on a quiet floor, tucked away in the corner. The room was beautifully updated, the bed comfortable with plenty of extra pillows, and everything was perfectly in order. The hotel itself is gorgeous! We also thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast offered the following morning, with plenty of hot and cold options. The staff is quick to point out the daily and weekly weather and fun things to do in the area. Absolutely top-notch service, and we appreciate the kind and helpful staff here most of all! Thank you again for a lovely stay.

After a long day traveling I stopped here for the night. I believe it was Joe(?) at the front desk that checked me in. He was the most friendly and outgoing person I’ve met at a hotel in a long time. We had a quick chat and he gave me some restaurant suggestions. The room was comfortable, breakfast was fantastic, all around quiet and well ran hotel.

We had a very poor stay. The staff were nice and hotel was clean. However, they have "smart" thermostats that kick off when leaving the room. We came back in the evening ready to go to bed but the thermostat had turned the AC off due to inactivity. The thermostat was also very limiting in temperature and fan settings. The set point was set to 67 but due to the cycling of the AC and the limiting of the fan being on constantly the room was significantly warmer in the other parts of the room. My family was very uncomfortable and did not sleep well due to these cost savings. I could understand this if paying for an economy room but for the prices this hotel charges for the rooms this is unacceptable.

Location is why we chose this hotel. Room was small and laid out awkwardly. Bed was not comfortable. Breakfast is very bad. The gym was nice. Overall if I go back to the area I won’t be staying here, just go to Lexington. I found it odd as well that if I were to upgrade to a larger suite it was only queen bed availability, no king.

My family and I are traveling home from vacation, had a series of unfortunate events, we are Bonvoy members and love to stay in suites when we travel, this one came up and was a perfect stopping point for us. Paul at the front desk is a complete BLESSING. He’s the most genuine guy I have ever met. He has made our stay one of the best experiences we have ever had. I would drive here from Indiana just to come and talk with Paul. Besides the exceptional service from the staff, our room is very clean, everything works, and it’s just a perfect situation. We are very thankful for the room for the night. Please stay here if you’re needing to stop for the night or for any reason!

Hotel has very comfortable rooms, extremely clean & great location. The hotel’s staff & housekeepers are local - hard working folks. They are very accommodating, welcoming & friendly. They go above & beyond in making your stay enjoyable & seamless.

this hotel is amazing not only did it have great service but also is very nice employees my son left his stuffed animal there and they sent it back in a package with another stuffy a whole letter about the stuffed animals journey and some candy. It made my kids day.

Just returned from our stay there. LOVED THIS PLACE! So family friendly. Although, we are seniors, we totally enjoyed it. There was plenty of spaces where families could be together without interfering with other quests. The rooms were clean, and all of the staff was friendly and helpful. The outside area was amazing. One of the quests was cooking on the huge grills that are provided. There were many places near by to eat. Very relaxing atmosphere. Our only complaint would be that grab bars need to be installed in showers. Also, a towel rack closer to the sink area. I would highly recommend this motel. Pat
