TownePlace Suites Houston North/Shenandoah - Hotel in Shenandoah - 107 Vision Park Blvd, USA

Stayed during the hurricane when customers were incredibly stressed and rude. The staff handled it all with grace, compassion, and patience. They were incredibly kind while checking us in using pen and paper because they systems were down, while receiving verbal abuse from people who were turned away due to being at full capacity. Rooms were comfy, large, stocked kitchen, with a full sized fridge, and pull out couch. Pet friendly. INCREDIBLE VALUE. This is among the top 5% of 3 star hotels I have ever stayed at.

Coming back to this area after the decades to reconnect with old friends, I was shocked at the change in the Houston-to-Conroe corridor. This hotel, however, feels safe, well lit, and in a part of town where I felt safe traveling as a solo female. It has easy access to I-45 but is set back so highway noise wasn't an issue. Access to the Woodlands and their amenities was excellent.  Front staff was friendly and efficient. || The room was clean and having a full complement of everyday dishes and silverware was convenient. A full sized fridge was nice though I hardly used it. I always inspect the bed for hairs or other aberrant items not found in clean places, and it was nice and clean: perhaps too clean as the sheets had a heavy bleach smell to them. The mattress itself has a sour smell in a focal area that I noticed. I just avoided that area since I was alone. The AC worked well, but was noisy. And the aforementioned fridge made an annoying continuous clicking noise. The bathroom was pretty clean but suffers the calcifications of water and typical grout issues. The shower water pressure was great. My room overlooked the pool and while families enjoyed it, the noise never disturbed me.  I never heard guests walking/talking down the hall or heavy hotel doors shutting from my bed - kudos to room design.||The hotel corridors were quiet and since I prefer taking stairs, I noticed that one arm of the hotel (South end) did have a weird smell. It did not permeate the main hallway.  Just an off-smell. ||Breakfast was a hot breakfast that many of the guests enjoyed. I brought the clean dishes down from my room to avoid using the single use disposable cups, plastic-ware and plates/bowls. It was decent, typical 3-star hotel fare: reconstituted scrambled eggs, sausage patties, potatoes, myriad hot sauces, bagels/toast/English muffins, prepackaged muffins and cereals. I enjoyed the hot oatmeal with the garnishes provided, though I had to supply my own banana. I was surprised that they even had a plant-based milk alternative (oat).  ||The gym is minimal, but since most folks use the treadmill, is prob good for the majority of guests. Two treadmills, an elliptical, and some dumbbells, I believe.  I, however, went to a local gym for the variety.||Should I ever come back to the Houston area, I would stay at this hotel again.  It's not luxury, but it has everything I'd need, and it's clean and feels safe.||

I really enjoyed my stay. My room was very clean, quiet and had all the amenities I could ask for what was extraordinary was the staff, especially Richard and Rita. Both of the staff members went out of their way to help me on several occasions I have stayed at many different hotels due to my work. I travel almost every week. I definitely say this is a winner from the price accommodations and the extraordinary staff.

Very well maintained, older property is affordable, considering the location. We were not the only ones there for a medical appointment. Staff is always very kind. Breakfast included. Free parking. Unheard of value today. Super helpful to those dealing with medical expenses, also. The NBC Olympic trailer happened to be there. That was neat.

Stayed here for four nights. The room was clean, staff was friendly. It was quiet and the location is convenient. I loved having a full kitchen and pull out bed for the kids.

PET FRIENDLY!!!! and! Amazing location. The room had everything we needed. Stove top, dishwasher, full size fridge! 👌 even had a great little fountain in the sitting area outside. So peaceful. Definitely will be returning.

Positive: Very quiet place to stay. Negative: Housekeeping staff would not allow the front desk to get milk for my child. Her exact words to us were "we can't give them that we don't get a truck until Tuesday" after she was on her way back with the milk. Poor customer service. Negative: ""

This older property has been fairly well maintained. The a/c unit in our room was extremely loud. It made a banging sound the entire night. I got very little sleep. The staff was very nice.
