TownePlace Suites Fort Lauderdale West - Hotel in Fort Lauderdale - 3100 Prospect Rd, USA

I've always had great experiences with TownePlace Suites and this one didn't disappoint. We arrived late but the young man was quick to check us in. Our room was comfortable and the bed was decent. The bathroom was clean and the shower had the rigjht hot water pressure. Definitely a highlight after a long day. The free breakfast was smaller than other locations. The young lady working the area was so disengaged. I couldn't locate the trash can, was actively looking around, and a fellow guest decided to help me. Other than that, we'd stay here again.

DO NOT STAY HERE, location is not the safest, our room smelled and felt disgusting. If it wasn’t because we got there so late and were so tired and wanted to rest then we would def have gone somewhere else or even slept in our car. We got infested with bedbug bites, I even cancelled the second night and didn’t care about losing the money. Really sucks that I have to leave this review but it is what it is.

We were a little apprehensive before we arrived because of all the bad reviews, but we found the hotel totally fine. Sure the breakfast was simplistic and the hotel could benefit from some renovations, but the room is comfortable and quiet, the shower has good pressure, and the staff did their utmost to make us feel welcomed. I don't know why so many people complain. It's just an average hotel like most others. You do need a car though.

I'm not sure why so many bad reviews. I stayed in 2024, this month. My room was clean. Folks were nice. I'd stay again. You could tell it was recently renovated and not with high end reno's but the price is right and the place is safe. Not much within walking distance tho.

I had not stayed at a Marriott property in about 14 years!! I used to be a huge Marriot fan, as I used to work for them. This property was very disappointing!!!!!!! It needs ALOT of updating and remodeling!!!! It is priced as a Towneplace Suites but definitely did not stand up to the name!!! The 2 bedroom suite only had 1 bathroom. The kitchen could not have been smaller as the bedrooms were very small!!! It appeared to me to have been an older apartment building that they tried to turn into a hotel??? I may be wrong, but it was not anything I had ever stayed in before!!! Especially with Marriott's name attached!!!! We were there for 2 nights, and on the 1st night, we were given a room with a broken TV. When I alerted the front desk, they told me they knew it was out of order and had no other room to move us!!!!! The following morning, when I complained, AGAIN! I was told.....we do have another room available! You can move if you want!!! We did move for the last night, and it was just not worth the money!!! The sleeper sofa was very much worn, as was the entire room!!! The hotel was quiet!!! There was not anyone hanging around outside, and it felt secure for my family and I. When I complained at checkout, the manager did offer me: to let her know the next time I'm in town for compensation!!!!!! I would not recommend this hotel with the prices they charge VS the accommodations you receive!!! The secure, quiet environment was the real bonus!!! It felt very Motel-ish!!

Rooms are good size and clean, though some maintenance might be required. Location is good as it is relatively close to some area attractions. Housekeeping has some opportunities. Overall , i felt confortable at the hotel and have no issues coming back to this hotel.

Roaches….the end. Decided to come for a little beach time, and needed a room after my red eye flight just to shower and sleep for about 3-4 hours. Well thanks!!! No sleep and only 1 of the 3 showers needed (there were 3 of us). This was my very first time having to depart a Marriott hotel like this and exactly why I maintain my Gold status with Hilton. I can’t believe Marriott allows them to fly their flag. Filthy hotel with roaches is a no go for me

The location is was goo's and the staff was great!! Very friendly and helpful! There's lots of construction but it's not intrusive.
