TownePlace Suites by Marriott Los Angeles LAX/Manhattan Beach - Hotel in Hawthorne - 14400 Aviation Blvd, USA

I reserved a 1 bedroom suite. Upon my arrival, I was informed that my room was not available. I was offered a studio suite. I was not pleased but at 8pm on a Friday night I didn't have many options so we took the room. On Saturday afternoon the manager David notified me there was a cancelation and moved us to 2 bedroom suite. I appreciated this effort because we were already in a room, so he didn't have to come back to us to make it right, but he did. I've been staying at this hotel when in Los Angeles since the 90s and due to David's efforts to make this issue better, we will always come back. Thank you David, you made our stay perfect.

Went with this location because 1) it was close to the airport as I needed to head back few days later 2) it was close to all the areas that I needed to visit. The staff members were very friendly and welcoming. The room was large and nice, the kitchen, but small but it was nice to have one, didn't use. The bathroom - well, the door was the issue - to use the sink, you need to close the door. I wish the door swung open the other way, that would made it more economical. Parking fee is $20 a day, wasn't a fan of that. Limited parking as well, so if you arrive late - might not find one.

So expensive for such a terrible dirty room and disgusting breakfast. Pillows in the room were terrible and the beds are only painful to sleep on. Staff was okay. Had to make multiple trips up and down the mechanically broken and disorienting elevator before being able to check in properly. Also had to take forementioned elevator out of hotel the entire time. Terrible hotel and not deserving of four stars. Would never visit again.

This is by far the worst Marriott that I have stayed at and I have stayed all over the country. Let me start with the night shift at the front desk and night security. The younger guy with black hair somewhat longer hair is the rudest most unprofessional person ever delt with at a hotel. I'm guessing that the other gentleman who is heavyset and bold and works along with him would be his supervisor and he is equally as bad. As far as the rooms go, they are not clean. The dished were dirty and the silverware had food stuck to them. She shampoo and conditioner bottles in the shower are full of mold. The cleaning staff must just fill them up and not look at them. There is dirt in all corners of the room and mold inside the air vents. The carpets in the room I stayed in were gross. The room had a horrible smell. As far as the breakfast goes, the must not use their budget because it is a joke. They expired yogurt and prepackaged muffins that looked like someone had stepped on them. The eggs were like the rubber ground pieces that you would find on a playground. The parking is terrible and they allow people to stand out there playing loud music, drinking, amd getting high. I would not recommend for sure it you do not want your children exposed to this stuff. I would also keep any children away from night shift as they are rude, act like they are stoned, curse at their customers and are extremely unprofessional. The security guard who works nights does nothing to stop the issues in the parking lot. They are going to charge you a $250.00 dollar deposit of which they will deduct frivolous charges from. The management at this hotel will hide in the office and refuse to come out and address complaints or issues. It's a very poorly managed hotel and extremely dirty. There is a Residance Inn not far from there that is a lot cleaner, better staff, better management, cleaner, and has better food. I would go there instead of this hotel. I could write much more about this establishment but will not waste anymore of time on it. I promise you that after your stay you will leave here extremely upset about the conditions of this hotel and its staff. If you stay, check your dishes before using them and bring your own toiletries or you may end up sick. Also, if your a member keep up with your stays as they do not report them for your points. You'll have to contact corporate. At least I did. And check your receipts. Not only was I wrongfully charged I witnessed several others at the desk complaining as well and the manager refused to come out and deal with anyone.

Very good place for families to stay. Place is strategically located in within a.lot of public transport connections and also within walking distance to a variety of shopping centres and malls all around it. The place is also very quiet and relaxed with families within Hawthorne, El Segundo & Redondo, I would is definitely recommend the place.

It was a birthday gift from my my family and I loved everything they upgraded my room it was nice it was wonderful and I can't wait to stay again thank you Marriott.

If I could give a zero for the room I would. The hallway smells awful and the floors are disgusting. AND, THERE WERE ROACHES in my room! WORSE, there was a drunk guy that followed me to my room. The young person at the front desk was alone so he didn't want to get involved. But I had to really be forceful to get the guy to go away.

Although the morning supervisor was attentive and did credit us for having no hot water, other than smiles from the housekeeping staff, the rest of the employees were uninterested in guests. But the main concerns are the facilities: the elevator is shabby, dirty, and needs service. The general feel of this hotel is somewhat rundown-not at all to Marriott standards. The breakfast area was seldom cleaned, very hot, and in reality closed at 8:45, not 9AM, in that the server started cleaning up and not replenishing by then. One day they even ran out of butter well before closing. I had signed up for every other day housekeeping and double checked that we were on the list, only to return to a dirty room and no new towels. Our TV didn't work correctly and after calling the desk found out it needed to be unplugged and replugged. Finally, we had no hot water one morning, and only lukewarm for my husband's shower another day. Definitely not what I would expect from Marriott.
