TownePlace Suites by Marriott Florence - Hotel in Florence - 2650 Hospitality Blvd, USA

Positive: The hotel is great, stall was super friendly. Negative: First of all we missed linens, towels and sheets for the pull out for my daughter. Also the fire alarm went of twice at 3 am. Then we decided to leave because we had to drive to Florida.

They have a bedbug issue. Room was also dilapidated, had other bugs in it and was outright dirty. I found a previous guest’s giant toenail clipping on the hallway carpet. I got my family together and just left when I ultimately saw bedbug trails on the mattress in the room they provided. Worst of all, instead of addressing the situation with honesty and integrity, they denied the bedbug issue even though I provided clear photographic evidence.

I was severely disappointed with the condition of the hotel. With a one night fee in excess of $200, you would think the place would be more up to date. There was a residual moldy smell and the cabinets were worn and trashed. The carpet smelled moldy and musty. It wasn't a good place to stay for the money. Mind you there was lots of room but I felt the hygiene of the room was disgusting. I'm thankful I did not have a black light. I definitely could've found better accommodations for the price and I will next time because we easily go twice a year to Florence for traveling soccer club for my daughter. Marriot is a huge disappointment. This is the second time I've strayed from Hilton stays and I will not do it again. It's Hilton from now on and only Hilton properties. Marriot can't compete!! Positive note is that the hotel personnel were excellent, it's the property itself that was disgusting and disappointing.

The staff is outstanding! Shawnella and Shanen in the kitchen does a great job!! Management Jennie is the best ! Sherika, Teresa, kameshia, Kim, &Linda all does a good job in house keeping & overall front desk is top tier !! Kedra,hanna, Teagan, Lindsey, and Kenzie knows the in and outs very professional and always smiling

Positive: The staff was nice, and gracious. And it was nice to have a 2 bedroom suite. Negative: The room was very dirty, the cabinet doors, and carpet was worn, and was evident the hotel was in need of a. Major remodel. Not Marriott quality at all.

Positive: Allowed an early check-in, upgraded me to a larger room at no extra charge, outstanding customer service and staff. Negative: The breakfast could have been better.

Hanna and Mandy are the best employees! They are always very helpful and get me whatever I need. Jenine is an amazing manager and always goes out of her way to help make my stay easier. All of the staff are very helpful in anyway that I ask without hesitation

Pool was dirty. Rooms need updating. Furniture in the rooms were not in the best condition. Burn marks on counter from cigarettes. People from public housing are being housed here. Although this is not a problem per say, at $200 a night, this should be disclosed to customers. Breakfast was less then desired. Unless I was traveling with the amount of people that I did this time, I would not stay again. When someone was at the front desk, which wasn't very often, they were pleasant and friendly.
