A friendly and helpful manager greeted us as we registered for the night. She would show us how special an individual she was by morning. The room was large and clean with plenty of room for all . Soft beds and plenty of pillows made our sleeping enjoyable. The bathroom was also large with great lighting and easy to operate shower. Breakfast of scrambled eggs, bacon, breakfast rolls, and waffles were delicious. The manager had double duty when she filled in for breakfast hour. She worked diligently with a smile and a positive attitude. We will definitely return to this establishment because of the beauty and comfort of our room and the dedicated manager.

1/4/24 - Front desk person was a "sweetie"! 302 Door jam and dead bolt disfunction. No kitchen garbage can/bags. No heat. Bath floor sticky residue. One elevator non functioning. Exercise room: Elliptical non functioning, clock non functioning, no sanitizer to clean equipment, no towels. Breakfast: Omelets served cold (not to proper temp) , no paper serving ware for travel, attendant not helpful. They can do better @ $138/night!

I can’t begin to express how kind, welcoming ands polite the entire staff is. We’ve stayed here twice and both times had wonderful experiences. The only reason I can’t say 5 star is that the rooms need some attention. For example, outlets need replacing as they don’t all hold the chargers. If you need a firm or thick pillow to sleep, you’re out of luck there too. Fitness room has missing and non working equipment too. Would stay again based solely on staff. There’s a mall, Chuck ee cheese and Buffalo Wild Wings in walking distance.

Beautiful Room! Very Clean. Fresh linens. Front Desk Staff Ms. Miller VERY nice. Bed too high for my 81 year old mother.

Positive: The front office check in was excellent. Negative: Breakfast. No butter and the meat was cool. Not good food at all and the help in the kitchen had a bad attitude with everyone.

During my last stay someone entered my room. They stopped when they heard my voice, but the fact that their key worked on my door was an issue for me. When I confronted the individual, their room number was 222, but had an exponent 6 at the end. My room number was 226. Found out later that this meant that they are staying for 6 nights. I was wondering why they just didn’t go back downstairs if there was confusion on what room they were in instead of trying another one. Situation could have ended in a number of ways that were unfavorable and im glad that it didn't. The staff did seem to think that this was an issue at 1am in the morning and my complaint wasn’t taken seriously until the forth person I followed up with talked to the General Manager(GM) about it. The GM and 1 employee out of 4 made an effort to apologize for the inconvenience and to ensure this doesn’t happen to anyone again. I say all that to say. Protect yourself at all times and always use any and all available methods to secure your door. If you have a legitimate complaint, reach out to staff, corporate and anyone up the chain until you are heard.

Customer service at the front desk was great until it was time to check out. I was unable to take a shower because the shower head was extremely dirty as well as the tub and shower wall. I asked Tabitha at the the front desk if she could discount my room due to the unclean bathroom. She told me she was unauthorized to do, so I asked if she could reach out to the General Manager. She stated that the GM is on vacation, so I asked who is next in charge. She stated that she could not give the name out because the employee has only been with the company two weeks. This was a very lengthy conversation and I got absolutely no where, which is unacceptable when it comes to customer service. Cleanliness and great customer service should be a major priority when it comes to hospitality. Robert Foley (General Manager), your TownePlace Suites by Marriott in Dothan, AL has definitely dropped the ball when it comes to providing a great experience with a hotel stay.

I saw all the reviews and thought it would be a nice stay but our room (room 105) was not in great shape. When we walked in you immediately could smell mildew or mold, the floors were damp, there was ripped and torn carpet, the toilet was cracked and was unstable like someone tried to rip it from the floor. The hotel itself was nice (the lobby and other areas were in good shape) but the rooms were garbage. I don’t know what happened.
